P.S. And about that grin ... a dentist I used to go to had a poster on the ceiling in his office--when he tilted me back in the chair I got to look at something that said "Smile--people will think you got lucky last night!"

Hi Gail, That was Nuka and Amber on yesterday's puzzles. I notice the comments seem to get lost when the pictures are repeats. I didn't manage to get here yesterday or I would have posted. Nuka's lip is all better now.

Hi Gail,
Boy came through the horse flu and I thought he looked better the other day than he had for a while. The flu lasted for about two weeks and was much the same as when we get the flu.
Sharon is marking HSC papers so I am seeing a lot of Laura. Picked her up on Friday and she was here till Sharon collected her today. Will have her again tomorrow afternoon and most evenings till next weekend.
She is not a lot of trouble but I do not get much done and it does not do much for my back problem.
I have been getting the puzzles done but just glancing at comments and not much else.
How are things going with you? How did you daughter go with her exams?

dear Gail,
thank you very much for the aussie bubly, the nibblies (?such little things to nibble?) and the wonderful bunch : I have flu, cough and whoop all the day so all that sweet things are welcome to cure me :)) My english is so bad that it is difficult for me ( and take a long time)to write : very frustating:) I'm glad, very happy that you enjoy looking at my photos : they are quickly taken and "speak" an universal language !
have a great week !

Dear Gail,
I suddenly realize that I have overlooked you asking me (on 30th September) whether my original art-work is for sale.
I regret not, because I am still working on the pictures.
The originals; 91x of them drawn over three days; are in felt pen, and some of them are a little the worse for wear from aging etc - although not too bad the prints are better.
I keep the originals with a view to improving them for printing after computer editing. I have had offers in the past and always turned them down - despite considerable temptation. For example in Australia way back I was offered, by a generous academic fan, $2000 for just one of them (The Mannequin - to be seen on 'my page' art gallery). In UK I have been offered 2000 and 5000 pounds for all 91x in portfolio - but again I have turned those offers down - not because that is too little money but rather because I feel they are too much a part of my life to part with them.
However, thanks for your complimentary question. I feel really pleased you like them.

One of the best things coming back to Melbourne was seeing it through anothers eyes amazing what you take for granted in your own city.

G'day Gail, I'm glad to have shared the pleasure of Eggs Benedict with you. If I could I would have them for breakfast every morning, but now I save them for special occasions. They are yummy though, aren't they.
Dangar Island is a lovely, peaceful place - but I wouldn't like to live there. It would be nice for a holiday but I wouldn't enjoy lugging everything up the hill in a wheelbarrow. I notice that some enterprising people have bought electric golf buggies, which must be a great help, but I enjoy my freedom too much and being stuck on an island is not my idea of freedom. It must have been a really rough life for your poor Mum - but fun for you kids though!.

Hey there, Kiddo! I'm still following your advice, grinning my fool head off so no one knows what I'm really thinking! Another weekend coming up, getting Mom's house ready for sale, amid the discovery that my brother's been playing fast and loose with some of the $. Thank goodness I know there are nice folks everywhere, and that's where family is--in the caring wishes and thoughts of a much larger community. (Psst, that's you). Otherwise, we're good here. And you? Wishing you a day filled with belly laughs and warm hugs. Here's one coming at you now.

hi Gail, just saw your post about the Neptune statue and pool. i don't think this water is wasted....i remember something about it being recycled...same water over and over in all the pools...it was collected a while back, circulated and kept clean..... but then, i'm not sure that Versailles has a water shortage like some other parts of the world. a shortage would certainly change how one looks at water usage.

hope your day is great!

Thank you for stopping by with you inquiry. Things are OK. I really miss the old chat room gang. I take a peek from time to time but don't often see anyone I know. As I told Angie, I don't deal well with changes as I used to, and there have been some dramatic changes on the site this year.

Hi Gail
Sure, bring the llama, and any alpacas too (I love those animals!) but could you leave the elephant outside? Wear whatever you want to, I don't care, as long as everybody is decent. It has just turned cold here, in the 30's (F) (that's around freezing) so you may want to bundle up, although we've got the wood stove going to warm up the house.

Hi Gail! Thanks for stopping by and your nice words about Schultz' much neglected page! I haven't had time to do much to it lately! Schultz is still with us and having fun. He's old and stiff now but still loves a car ride.

I have checked out the photos each day but haven't always had time to do the puzzles ... I don't post unless I have something to say! Definitely had a spot of insomnia a few nights ago! Take care.

Hi Gail, I can't access the photos either - was just thinking about fixing that, which probably means deleting and reloading. They were okay when I first set up the page last week. However, I am first going to do some real work (now that it is quiet) and I'll look at it later when I have some spare time.

Glad you enjoyed it. BTW, the wording WAS changed ever so slightly from 'lyrics', to 'images' and from 'turn your sound off' to 'PLEASE shut your eyes'. A bit of tongue-in-cheek humor there. But seriously, some people theses days will take offense at anything. One must tread lightly!

Gail. I had a great night's sleep & woke up to find your newest comment on my page. It made me laugh! Loved the phrase ""dingdong barnies"". You are right that your girls will like you better AFTER their teenage years, & they will love & admire you most of all after they become mothers themselves! Our #2 daughter was the toughest for us (experts say the middle children usually are), but she has grown into a wonderful, hard-working, loving & caring woman. She & her husband had two boys & hoped that their third child might be a girl. But after she gave birth to a third boy, she told me she was secretly glad because she didn't know if she could handle it if they had had a girl who was like her!! Not only was Wendy a middle child, but a Taurus, too! So hang in there with your girls & keep reminding yourself that "this too shall pass." Any time you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here for you. I'm afraid you'll find that even Hannah, who is cooperative now, may not always be so! The ""tempestuous teenage time"" is part of growing up just like the ""terrible twos"" although it may be a little easier for some than for others. By the way, I love the names you picked for all your children. Keep smiling & above all keep your sense of humor!

Hi Gail, I will try a patch with baking soda, but I suspect Loo is too far gone for that. The website looks good. I think I'll try a patch with baking soda, a patch with eucalyptus oil, and a patch with upholstery or carpet cleaner and see what happens. D#2 has given me one of her stuffed toys to take to hospital with me so I will have something of hers to keep me company...

Hi, Gorgeous Gail! Stopping by to say I hope your weekend was a good one. Patched up the mini-feud with my brother and hope that's the end of the sniping. Now there's a For Sale sign on my mother's front lawn--hard to see, but it's time for someone else to enjoy the house as much as I did for so many years. Take care, friend!

if you want to see them. Today I've submitted about 30 for puzzles! Heaven alone knows if & when they'll appear! My daughter was on Parents Page today. I submitted that in September! Others submitted earlier still haven't appeared. Ciao for now!

I've just left a note on Ian's page & saw your note about Dangar Island. Bar Pt where our other abode is is very close to Dangar! I've been around the Island in our slightly larger than a tinny boat (it's big enough to legally take 6 adults) but haven't been ashore there yet! We're actually making serious moves about rebuilding the little house & moving to Bar Pt permanently in a year or so -depends how long approve takes after the plans are drawn! Were you one of the 3 daughters or did you come after they moved?

Most of the commuting residents of Dangar either catch the ferry or have tinnie's with motors. They're usually old & decrepit but they have better ones for when visitors come! There are actually a couple of cars on the Island now as well, just for visiting the neighbours who are a bit more than a stone's throw away! I took some photos on one of our trips around Dangar, maybe I should submit some for jigsaws & put some on Flickr. I'm the eldest of 5 kids! I have one brother, do you have any?
