Hello Gail - yes, there have been two of my grandchildren sick. Johnathan in NZ and Jaimee (my grandaughter) in Wickham. Johnathan is well now and wants to come back to Albany as he misses his Granny. Isn't that sweet. He's only three.
Rebecca has had to have a few days off work because of Jaimee as she has been off colour for a couple of weeks. Now with their temperatures of around 40-45C probably won't help.
I hope all is well with you.

Thanks, Gail, for continuing to think of me. We had a Mass said for Mom last night, a fitting celebration for someone who was so devoted to her church. We went to a local bistro beforehand and drank a toast to her as well. And we're got one more Saturday of the last bit of housecleaning ... very hard to see the For Sale sign on the lawn, but it's certainly time for someone else to call the place home. But aren't we lucky people, to have loved so well? Take care and keep smiling, my friend.

Gail, Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. All is doing good here. Had my 2 week post-op visit. He said things were looking good, still have to wear the back brack for 2 more months, hope they pass quickly.
Take care and have a great week-end.

Gail,
Thanks so much for the bubbly, I'm enjoying it right now!
I and my son are in S. America for the thanksgiving holiday, I needed the vacation, and he had the time off....and right now running away for the holidays is an OK thing.
I'll bring back some seafood and some wine, and leave some at your place...back on Sunday, so look for it!
Take Care,
Anya

Hi Gail, have made a notation in the diary and need to reply to Angie - she asked the same thing. Would love to meet you and some of the wonderful sudokuists in person. Having a big problem with digitalis extactus - need to pull my finger out and decide. Truth is I've had a couple of bad weeks health wise and I probably won't know until the end of the week if I'm up to it. Pretty sure hubby can't make it. Might put my , a sign around my neck and hitch a lift....Will keep you posted. Ciao 4 now.

Gail, your mother's not of Irish extraction is she? I'm 1st child Maureen is 2nd, the brown eyed blond male is no 3. M & I didn't exist after he was born! The 2 girls after him got a better deal, but not much! I had a great time with my 3 sisters today. It's 2 yrs since Mum's 80th which is the last time we were all together, but today we were by ourselves (except for the youngest's husband) & I can't remember how long ago that happened!

Hey Gail, that's not eavesdropping, these are public pages (and sometimes that is a bit scary). Thank you for your thoughts on Anne, she is out just now spending some of our money, but I'll pass them on when she returns. She has recovered OK and she saw our cardiologist yesterday. I think the visit cleared her mind. So, all's well for the moment. Thank you.

GAIL, wongerful for me also! Enjoyed the chat, we shold do that more often! Glad to hear that Scott's checkup was so very encouraging. Al takes a fish oil capsule also, for the Omega 3, to hopefully improve his good cholesterol. We got his bad way way low, but diet and meds seemed to not help raise the good. Will see next checkup what it really did.

Hello Gail - I've just been chatting with Rebecca on the 'phone and mentioned what you said about Jaimee's cough. It appears that the doctor checked her lungs and said everything was fine but Rebecca wants to have her checked out further. I did mention the ventolin because Rebecca uses one occasionally but she didn't have one handy.
Thanks for your concern and mentioning about it. I'll let you know if Rebecca finds out anything more.
Cheers
Anne

Hello Gail - Thanks for your visit! Thank you, also, for your kind comments. I, too, enjoy all the season changes. I think I would miss them terribly. We had a great Thanksgiving. My children were all home! We had 9 of us around the table with no arguements! Rare! We have lots to be thankful for!

Are you getting ready for the Holidays? Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Gail, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
will keep in touch from now onwards. bye and take care.

Ah, Gail, for some like us, the party's never over! So glad you called your Mom and I can imagine how moved she was to hear your heartfelt message. And how terrific you brought along a script to honour your Dad--I'm sure he's smiling at you from a peaceful place. I'm pleased that so many enjoyed the journey of memories last week; I had more memories rush at me on Saturday as we did a final cleaning of Mom's house ... then the realtor called us to say that the house had sold. One week--boom. A new couple will move in at the end of December, and we even joked that Mom wouldn't have approved of their "living together" status and that they'd have to get married or be forever cursed! I must admit, now I'm growing rather weary of my siblings and look forward to getting away (to ski in Banff on the 8th!)for a needed break. And then Christmas will be upon us and by then, hopefully all minor wounds will have healed and we can enjoy the season. And hey, kiddo, feel free to "ramble" anytime--I so enjoy hearing from you! Sending love across the miles, Cathy.

Hi, Gail!

Thank you for stopping by, .
Well, I'm not any better than you, just photography is the only thing, that keep me running. Unfortunately, besides that I'm limited in my traveling, lately I've had a lot of problems with Internet connections.
Regarding cats, I don't have any in my small apartment, but they are always take my attention everywhere I'm going to. I have in stock some interesting pics of cats, taken recently, and I will post them in the very nearest future.
Just looked through your Gallery, love the pictures of mushrooms, remains me of my early years. I think I can even smell them.
So, come visit my page sometime, feel free to sit there and relax with the cup of coffee that is always waiting for my guests.

Not that long since I was on here last night, and here I am again. Addicted? I was just reading Ian's page and there was something about you living on an island? Your poor mother! How many families lived there with you?

Hi Gail
Sorry I took so long to respond. Thanks for thinking of me. We have had a bad couple of months with two deaths in our family. Trying to catch up on work has left me little time. I've grabbed a puzzle every now and then but it's usually on the run and I don't have time to socialize.

As far as the schoolies go, so far they've been well behaved. I was in Lorne yesterday and it is pretty packed as is Torquay. I hope they all (especially your daughter) have a wonderful, safe and memorable time. The weather is warm but a little stormy so that probably fits teenagers to a tee!
Have a great week
Regards Annita

Finally worked out today what you meant by check out easy, every day getting one step closer to understanding what goes on with this site! Impressed with some of the times people post. Guess it comes with experience. Should I now thank or punish youngest daughter (away with schoolies week) for suggesting I get into sudoku to ward off dementia in old age!

Hi Gail,

Thanks for the visit and beautifl roses, they are really brightening up the place. As for the damage to my car I took it in to work on Monday and was lucky enough to get it back, all fixed, the next day. The only good thing about it being a work car was that the repair cost didn't come out of my pocket, that is if you don't count the time I invested on my two days off. I've been keeping my eyes open for a gray car with a missing mirror, but no luck so far. Oh well, not going to make myself crazy about it.

Hi Gail
Thanks for the visit. The boat's away for the winter. Our weather has changed and it's cold outside. I have some fish in the freezer so that's not a problem. I'm waiting for the Spring and the great fishing that comes in late April or early May.

Thanks Gail. What a kind thought. Yes it is all a bit autumnal now but not the 'good' autumnal with beautiful coloured leaves on the trees. It is the 'what comes next' autumnal with leaves all over the place which have to be cleared away. At least that lets a bit more light into the garden and I can now see the Lambourne Downs in the distance from my study.
