Hi, Gail. Thanks for stopping by with birthday greetings yesterday. Although I only look in occasionally, it added to the enjoyment of my birthday to receive so many greetings.

Hi there Gail! We're all packed and raring to go bright and early tomorrow; what a ton of gear! I even managed to squeeze in the essential pre-ski manicure--in case I end up in the hospital, I want to be well groomed. I'll definitely do a schuss for you, and drink a toast to you as well. I'll be looking for your posts when I get back on the 13th. Meanwhile, may there be joy in every one of your days.

HI Gail, for your thoughts and wishes. This week has been kind of fun, with great excuses for not doing housework etc. Not being able to drive has been a hassle though with hubby and friends picking up the slack so the girls can get to everywhere they need to be. Hubby drove me to D#2's school to hear her give her school captain speech at assembly. We find out the 'winners' of the election at presentation night on Wed. D#1 was elected so D#2 will be disappointed if she isn't. That's life though and we have talked to her about the fun experience of running versus winning and how proud we are that she ran and how happy we are that she looked like she was having such a good time.

Hello Gail - It was so nice to have you stop by. Jeremiah has been gone for two weeks. We have been very busy here at home, so the time has gone by quickly. Jenny totalled her car last week, so we have been running her somewhere everyday. She is in college and works two jobs. My husband found her a "fixer-upper" and will have her back on the road soon. We live in the country so every time we take her somewhere, it takes at least an hour. That is two hours out of the day. (I think I would rather change diapers!) Oh well, such is life. Thanks again, for stopping by.

Thank you Gail for stopping by. It is always nice to have a visitor now and then. :-)
The carpal tunnel surgery was a snap and I was able to pick up a tea cup three days later. Of course it took a couple weeks before I could pick up the gallon milk bottle. But the strength came back slowly over the following month and the night aching stopped infact the night of the surgery I slept better then any of the 3 months before. I would suggest it for anyone. Oh and I only had one done, and the reason was because I had numbness in three finger and when I am unable to hold a needle I am not a happy seamstress. I shopped around for the best surgeon I could because next to my eyes my hands are the most important part of my body.

Hi Gail, and Seasons Greetings! Thank you for stopping by and the Christmas wishes. It looks to be just us and the 2 kiddos also, as my grown daughter and her brood live in Texas and made the trip at Thanksgiving. My grown son and his 2 will likely stop by for a bit, but as he is recently divorced, they have the issue of splitting the day for the kids. I will be enjoying the day but likely be a bit worried, as the 27 I will be having some surgery...I have a ruptured lumbar disk that has been causing me a whole lot of heck for almost a year now, with very severe and worsening leg pain. It will be a relief to finally get it taken care of! I still have loads to do before Christmas, I just think it is still a bit early for the baking. I have most of the gifts bought, still have to wrap. Well, Merry Christmas to you and yours and stop by to chat anytime. I have scads of boxes of peppermint tea!

Hi Gail
Mum is here now - a surprise arrival. I was lying down and heard noises in the house. Scared me to death but I staggered out into the kitchen and there she was making a cup of tea. I guess it would pay to lock the doors occasionally, but then she would have been trapped outside waiting for me to wake up.

I have way too much time on my hands at the moment, and a lengthening list of things to do when I can drive and get around again. It's a little frustrating, but I am getting some craft done which is filling in the time a bit.

Be well

Hi Gail,
Thank you for the Christmas wishes and the stop-in. I just started Christmas shopping today, but the tree is up but the wreath is laying on the couch instead of on the front door. It just won't put itself up! I hope your tree gets itself in shape and decorates itself.
Wishing you a Christmas season full of love and laughter.
Take care,
Cindy

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center did not close; we moved into our new building in April. It was a tremendous move for the better. The old facility was so run down it had become dangerous.
You can see pictures of the new center on www.marinelife.org and also on its blog blog.marinelife.org
My son looks very much like me, but I am leery of posting his (or any) child's picture on the Internet. Too many weirdos out there. I also have never posted my family name, although it is clear to me that anyone who wants to could easily find me. Call me paranoid, but I live in South Florida, where the weird is a daily occurance!
