...and, even if I do say so myself, my butter chicken is up there with the best! (I don't have a smilie for "modest grin")

Turn up any time you want - I'll even open one of my best bottles of shiraz to go with it.

Hey Gail

I have been very slack and I haven't been getting back to you to reply to any of your fantastic messages, though I have enjoyed them immensely. I am sorry I can't be more verbose in my reply but I have to go and play with VB (her birthday party went off beautifully and I actually got some time to enjoy it too (even though I did have to sneak off to finish those thrice damned invitations)).
Please feel free to drop me a line any time and I will really try to also get back to you.

Hi Gail
Feeling very proud of myself tonight. I made meat loaf as hubby is at TAFE. Usually he would cook, it is rare for me. When my friend came to pick up her daughter from tutoring she smelled/smelt (?) it and ended up tasting it - and asked for the recipe!!!!! That NEVER happens to me.

LOL Gail
Meatloaf is a treat for Aussies - in America it is often considered 'poor man's food'. My kids like it, and I can get 2 meals out of one recipe - a big plus for a non-cook like me!!! Did I tell you how much I don't like cooking??

Thanks a lot for your welcoming words. This is a great community. Thanks also for pointing to the goodies. Hope all is good with you and that summer is not too hot. I'd send some snow, but the postoffice won't take it.

My Way To Inner Peace

I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and, we all could use more calm in our lives.

By following the simple advice I heard on a Dr Phil show, I have finally found inner peace.

Dr. Phil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started.

So I looked around my house to see things I had started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Cardonay, a bole of Baileys, a butle of Kehuha, a pockage of Tim Toms, tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valum scriptins, the res of the Chesescke, some saladas an a bax cholates.

Yu haf no idr who gud I fel.

Peas sen dis orn to dem yu fink ar in ned ov inr pece.

I didn't take it as a sarcastic comment Gail, I get really annoyed with myself when I can't do something on the computer that should be really easy. Thanks for the teenager offer, may take you up on it.

Hi, Gail! Many thanks for the cyberhug! Things are looking better today! 1) My husband is doing much better; 2) I played tennis this morning (and that always makes me feel better!); 3) the store where I bought my fridge (the "new" one) is putting in a claim to the manufacturer for food loss, so I should be reimbursed for all the spoiled meat; and 4) it's a beautiful day here in Georgia!!!

Hi Gail! By the time I saw your pictures of Nibbles, I figured you had already gone to bed so came here to leave a comment. Am overdue for a visit anyway. Love the pose of Nibbles with her front paws between her back paws! She's darling! When & where did you get her (or maybe him?)? How's life going in Cockatoo? Please stop over for a visit on my page someday. Have you seen Reese yet? She gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks!!!! She & Ebony are new best friends & have such a good time together.

Hi Gail, we're a bit proud of Rob's achievement and I rang him in Germany, where he is working, to congratulate him. We had a long and happy conversation.
I too, look forward to our meeting. It's only a couple of weeks off now and everything is falling into place nicely. It should be great fun. Till then, cheers.

Hi Gail, thanks for popping by.
It is nice to know that I'm remembered. You're right, HK is keeping me busy - so is having a husband about in the evenings. He gets a bit put out if I ignore him all evening to do sudoku...I can't for the life of me figure out why, but I like to humour him. LOL.
I'm still finding my feet here - HK is a 'funny' place, and I'm not really a city girl. Gippsland kind of got under my skin after 10 years...
Still, adaptation is ever a slow process and we are only 6 months in. Experience has taught me that it usually takes a good 12 months to feel comfortable in a new town; now if we multiply that by the population ratio, it should only take another 999years and 6 months ??? Goodness I hope not!
Anyway, thanks again. Now, if I can only figure out what has happened with my log-in...........

Hi Gail,

Thanks for the greetings! Yes, my tribe is growing fast. My baby just hit 17 months and he's walking and talking almost faster than I can keep up with! It's cold, no, COLD!!, and snowy in my neck of the woods, and we're all suffering from spring fever. Can't wait for the snow to go, the sun to return, and the blossoms and bulbs to remind us what Color is all about. How about your corner of the world? Also, here's some Vermont sharp white cheddar to go with that wine... mmm!
