Gail thank you for the birthday wishes for tomorrow. Very much appreciated.
We will be flying down Thursday afternoon and I was hoping to organise something for Friday but a great Aunt passed away last week and funeral in Baccus Marsh tomorrow. I should be there but will not be but may now have to go and see the rest of the family there on Friday. Anyway will get in touch and let you know. Hope that all makes sense!!

Good morning, wanted to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. My sister called me last night - she found out that my Dad passed away on his Sister's Birthday - Margie died years ago and my Dad was told to always take care of her, amazing, enjoy your day, Mary

Hi Gail,
Thank you so much for your birthday wishes to me on the 16th. My apologies for being so late in replying. I had a lovely day, made even better by the greeting from my new friends on this site. Thank you so much!

Hi Gail,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm enjoying this site and the sudoku. Not yet too good with organising my page but am enjoying fiddling and experimenting. Love your cat photos. My cat died of old age 2 years ago and I miss her heaps but I'm not getting a new one because we are travelling so much at the moment.

Greetings old friend...you are starting to feel like an old friend now. You missed out on a very nice lunch..ended up going to Heide [museum of modern art] Have you ever been there - they have a great little cafe which does some very yummy and very reasonably priced dishes. Do you like art?

Our plans for next week are very rubbery. Maybe arrive Tuesday late or early Wed and back when we feel like it. Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun.....I am VERY flexible...[AKA I haven't a clue..]
Don't really like being away on long weekends because it gets so busy so we will just have to see. What are your plans for next week? The weather will determine what we do a bit. We don't like leaving Pete's mum alone for too long. Its her birthday tomorrow so I'm preparing to be the model DIL - taking dinner and cake over to have with her. My to do list for tomorrow grows every time I look at it... and should hit hte sack.

I wonder if you will get this and when the site will next be down??? ciao.

Gail, thanks for your good wishes for the Egypt trip. I'll be sure to give Wagdy a hug for you!
He has been so great about suggestions of what to see in Cairo and making himself available to show us the sights! We will surely have a very special guide

Hi Gail, Thanks for the message. Mikayla gets to swim in her pool for the first time on Sunday. She has been up in Alice Springs visiting her God Parents for the last two weeks so I didn't see her last Sunday. Going to Port Pirie tomorrow for the night. So won't get to do Sudoku (probably). Have a Happy Ozzie Day. Prawn's and snags on the BBQ

Hi Gail, just the usual Australian Day for me, a barbie and pav with friends. Today, like you I will probably indulge in a little retail therapy.
I have recently returned to live in Melbourne after 31 years in Sydney. I grew up here and have slotted back in quite happily. I love Melbourne roads compared to Sydney! Enjoy shopping.

Gail, thanks for the welcome. I do, of course, enjoy the puzzles, but I also like the various photos as well. I have enjoyed learning more about my brother and sister sudokulandians. Look in your fridge, too. You'll find some nice nibly things and champagne waiting. Enjoy!

Oh, Gail, you are truly a sweetheart!!! Brandon had a great birthday party (I wasn't able to get there, sniff) but my DIL called to let me know he loved the tent, tube contraption I gave him and the large baby's lego set. When I asked to say happy birthday to him, I heard a howl and DIL's voice saying, "No, Brandon you may not eat the phone!". Oh well! Thank you my dear friend!

Hi there most wongerful of new friends....been back a couple of hours...didn't want to come home!! Thanks for your message.
Of course I checked [SA3page]...how hard it must have been to write nice things about Miss Bean....hehe!!
We had the best day..him indoors wondered what I had let him in for [as if I didn't know!!!] and as for younger edition of him indoors I didn't even tell him ...as you know I just took you in and introduced you!! I'm still laughing at the smile on his dial when he realised that it was THE Gail from Cockatoo!!!!
Now he wants to know if I've got any more 'meets' planned with sudokuaholics...don't think he'll find anymore like us [broke the mold they did - 2 is enuff for the world!!] The boys and self [naturally] are REALLY looking forward to the next meet but I think we girls should meet up half way for a bit of a chin wag to plan the next big event - any excuse.
I hope Hannah coped and enjoyed the visit - she appeared to. Lach thought it was a bit like having two mothers there cracking innuendos, jokes, the odd egg....etc! He's couldn't miss the similarities in our natures and he is rather fond of his old mum and a double dose was rather a treat for his funny bone.
Dropped in on Hannah.
This was meant to be a quick hello.....so much for that! As if!!
I'm going to pretend I'm still away and try to keep off this wretched computer until we have the water back on, school books covered, found school stuff, that nuisance stuff that we play about with in the kitchen we can't get out of it, finish reading my book - gotta get into it gently, pay for the auctions I won on eBay while I was away...etc
I'm sure you've got the picture..even gotta a trip to the dentist planned! SUCH FUN!!!
[NOTICE I didn't mention anything work!!]
Ciao for now

Gail,
Thank you so very much for the treats, I so enjoyed them.

I also took a few minutes to look through your picture gallery. I love the idea of the Elephant Rock, what a wonderful way to commemorate a joyous occasion!

I have 2 teenage daughters of my own; 16 and 17. Yes, I had them very close together, they are 18 months apart.

Take care and I hope to hear from you more often,
Aimee :-)

G´day Gail.
Thanks for your return to my page. I found the message in my e-mail but not in the personal page. What else am I missing? I do not have a number two page.
The two gentlemen (our only sons 21 and 23) are very well behaved. We are very proud of them. They are in College. My lovely wife Clemencia substitutes teachers (elementary school) when they are absent, at a bilingual school near our home. And when at home she enjoys reading food recipes and trying them.
Can you help me explaining what is the meanning of "pre-pooter days" in your pic where you are reading The daugters of arabia?. LOL Tulio.

Gail, thanks for stopping by my page to say G'day. I haven't been able to spend much time on Sudoku lately, but seeing that you'd left me a message lured me back! Our daughter, her husband, and our two grandbabies just left after a nice visit. We've had lots of snow lately and they came up for a few days to enjoy playing in it. More snow is expected for tomorrow -- we've been kept pretty busy just shoveling a path out. I hope all is well with you.

Hello Gail, and thanks for your concern. No we haven't been away, just computerless at home for a couple of weeks, so I was just nipping on very quickly at work occasionally. We are however, now back on the air finally, albeit with a new modem and then a new tower on hubby's computer, 'cos his old one wasn't compatable with the new modem, and so on..... Don't you just love technology!?!?!?!

There you are! So great to have you drop by as always. Hoping you and those you love are doing well and keeping each other nurtured and smiling. Thanks for your kind wishes; these have certainly been challenging times! Yes, I believe peace will come and I'm fine with my decision regarding my brother. He has used his bullying tactics all his life to get what he wants, and it's been the perfect means for getting people to back off and not question what he's doing. So I've had enough, awful as it may sound, but in so many other ways, I'm blessed--with a wonderful husband, great pets, good friends from far and near. I may be losing a brother, but I'm regaining my voice, if that makes any sense.
I've been shovelling snow this morning, and there'll be more to do later--very invigorating! Keep me posted on what's new with you and yours, my friend--meanwhile, I'm sending you a bottle of Niagara reisling to have with dinner. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi, Gail! I will ask Gath if we can include the cookbook link on the recipe page. I plan to update the book once a month (or whenever there are enough new recipes to warrant an update). If I can't figure out how to do it, I'll ask Gath. He set up the link on my page, so I presume it can be done. Thanks for your compliments! It was a labor of love. (I love to cook and I love to eat!!!!!)

Gail, tell your hubby it was only once while coming down the Hume on a straight, relatively smooth stretch on the Melbourne side of Albury. But the car cruised comfortably at 90 mph (about 148 kph). My son has never forgiven me for selling it, but at the time it helped pay for our first home.
It was (and still is) a great car, I owned mine for about three years.
