Hi Gail, the wedding was on October 4, everything went wonderfully well, fantastic weather, both looked lovely, reception all went smoothly. They are on their honeymoon now in Thailand, and by the sounds of it having a wonderful time. Hard to believe that it's all over, although we're on count down now to our other son's wedding on July 11, 2009. I hope my daughter doesn't get any ideas. I don't have too many photos yet, but I'll upload some when I do.

Thank you. After spending the night stoned (legally), I am up and ready to go. This has always been a favorite site. On myspace, the circle of people you talk to are family and friends. There isn't much opportunity to hear from people around the world. I have missed checking in here so often, but have been busy. With fall break this week and my master's caught up before the surgery, I have a couple of days to train my brain to think again!

for the beautiful Anniversary greeting you left on my page. We had the bestest time on our trip - we travel very well together - and it was the perfect way to spend our 10th Anniversary.
Thanks again, sweet friend!

Hi Gail
Sorry it's been so long between visits. It's been a little busy around here. We have had tag-teaming babies getting sick ever since we got back from Fiji. I could do with another holiday.

You are an amazing woman remembering so many of the family's birthdays and then being able to make the time to send a greeting. It's certainly been a year for milestone birthdays Paul- 40 Veronica - 1 Elinor - 3 and Jacques - 15.

Anyway, how are you and yours?

I am now being climbed on by my two youngest so I'll have to go. I hope to stop by and chat again soon.

Love Rose

Hi there Gail - how nice of you to leave me a message. I haven't posted for ages, but must visit the site more. Sometimes not enough hours in the day!! One setback after another but we hope to be able to open again in about 3 weeks (fingers crossed!) The insurance money was used up long ago, and we are now existing thanks to our bank.

Best thing is we have made heaps of improvements but we'd love to be able to take a break sometime.

Thanks for thinking of me. ... Jude

Hi, Gail! You DO have some cool fungi! I imagine yours are a lot different from ours here in the States. A few weeks ago I found a "fairy fan", which is tiny (maybe a centimeter) and flattened like a fan! Quite cute! But you have to look VERY carefully to find such small ones -- almost More...

find them by accident and luck!

I'm just getting the hang of commenting to people (rather than to all), so I hope this gets back to you! -Cyn

Gail, I posted this reply to you on MY page, since I didn't realize it was customary to post replies on the SENDER's page! I guess I just didn't get the book of house rules -- if it exists!) Anyway, I just wanted you to know! -Cindy

Hi Gail - thanks very much for your birthday wishes for Mum. She had a lovely party this morning at my sister's with just we 3 siblings, our spouses and her sister. She really enjoyed it UNTIL we took her home and she threw a tanty like a 2yo. Happens every time we take her out and spoils the enjoyment. But we know she really doesn't understand or mean to upset us.

Oh Gail, so sorry to hear about Scrap. I suspect he was the one you were taking to the vet for a long sleep after Broni's visit (nothing to do with Broni, mind you) - he must have had a reprieve! I know how much you will miss him, and the other cats will as well.
Hugs coming your way.

Hi Gail, thanks for your message, yes the day was perfect and we all had so much fun, but as you say a little bit of a let down the next day. Sorry no piccs yet, I'm waiting to find the perfect one (I have to get my daughters permission first, I keep forgetting to ask her -old age I guess) I have to use these smilies whenever I can as I won't be able to use them again for a while.

So sad to hear about Scrappy. I bet you have some wonderful memories (& photos) of him to comfort you ♥♥

Gail, I just read about Scrappy and am so sorry about your loss. He was 19? That's astonishing, you must have really nurtured the little guy. When I put the photo of Sandy as a youngster, with Snuvi and Beans, all looking sad from the deck as we got ready to eat a holiday meal, I felt great pangs for the loss of the two and now Sandy is an old lady. I am so sorry.
