I thought of my Aussie friends last night. We are near the end of the "75th Fiddlers Convention" here in Virginia. One of the "groups" competeing last night was from Sydney, Australia! They were a long way from home!

Thanks for your Birthday wishes. Mom flew up here for the weekend and we celebrated with a huge 10½" Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie. I have to admit it was one of my best and hope you enjoy a piece with me for breakfast/lunch.

It was 100° both days over the weekend - was suppose to go up to 106° today but is now slated for 95° today. Going to a BBQ tonight & sharing ice cold cherries.

Someone took her from our house on 25/8 and despite letter drops, posters and ads, there has been no sign of her. Think she must be right out of the Knox area. Hi Gail, Unfortunately no sign of her. Think she is well out of our area - have even put up posters in Box Hill. We are absolutely devastated - seemed like it was the final straw after the past couple of months. M-i-l passed away after a horrible illness, mum in and out of hospital since March, son with DVT, hubby major surgery and whilst he was in hospital, somebody takes our little Natalie. Last ditch effort and advertising in 17 local papers this week. It breaks your heart going to the pounds each week.

Update - Thanks for keeping an eye out for her - we have found our dear Natalie. RIP

Glad you made it through the storms of 2007.
I am enjoying a cool and wet Spring here in Cherry Gardens. Pretty much the best year for rain for about 5 years. Had 6 roos in the backyard this morning.

Hi Gail - Thought I would update you - we missed Nat so much we went to the Coldstream Animal Aid and now have a new loopy mutt.(Brown lab X)Truman is a delight - except for the clothesline nabbing - could do without that.He has had a rough time but has settled in quickly and claimed us as his. Police still have no idea who hurt Nat - we just hope they will be eventually caught and dealt with. Hope all is well with you.
