Hi Greg, I want to thank you for the birthday greeting and welcome. I did just join, but have been enjoying this site for many years. I see your comments on the jigsaw site, too. Actually my birthday is November 4th. Im not sure where Gath came up with April 10th, but it made for a very special day. The timing was perfect. I guess even mistakes sometimes happen for a good reason. I'm hoping that you aren't going to make me return your double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry. Hello Greg, and thank you for your kind wishes on my birthday! I did have a lovely day even though I had to work it! They gave me a bithday morning tea, with party pies even, and it was lovely to open my email and see all my wonderful messages! We had had my family party on the day before as my son came home for the weekend.

Thanks Greg, 'The Man' is probably my favourite piece of Aussie poetry, followed closely by the great poem 'Clancy of the Overflow' - by the same poet.

We haven't taken delivery of the Sunliner yet and as you can imagine, Anne and I are like schoolkids with excitement. We look forward to the freedom that the motorhome will bring to our life - just following its nose and exploring Australia as we wish. We both have a bit of nomad in us - Anne drove half way around OZ with her girlfriend before we were married and our time in the Air Force was spent living like gipsies.

Also, I'll tell you that just about all the friends I have got my name wrong one way or another the first time they saw (or even heard) it. Usually there ends up being an L in it, not an r though, lol. --too close to being like the Spanish word for family, I guess.

Hi Greg, Thanks for your recent visit and comment on Zim. Sadly things are looking more bleak by the second. Our SA president is not helping with his "no backbone" attitute! We have millions of Zimbabwean in South Africa, who have fled their country. Anyway, we keep on hoping and praying that something positive will happen! TO change the subject - check out my u-tube - just the best ever!

Hi CG!. We don't get to meet up on site much these days due to time difference and me not working night shifts any more. Geez I miss that, working night shifts, I mean - Yeah right!!!

All is well, though I've been working hard doing the house up, new kitchen has been done, bathroom and laundry to do next, then paint the bedrooms. Then I get to do my favourite - landscaping the garden which will be a bit of a challenge.
I get to see peoples comments (Judy's in particular) but am way too late for a smart arse reply - pity.

almost finished the ensuite renovations here,

early next week, I have been told
the last couple of weeks have been hetic
with tradesmen coming and going
and extremely late nights.

You by far have the most pages i've seen of anyone i've been to so far. At least I know you're still around and still a friend to all.
