Well Hal, I find fungis more interesting to hang out with than boring guys! (sorry, lame I know, but that is my role around here!)
Thank you so much for the kind words about my daughters. These drawings are particularly near and dear to me, and yes, they are extremely talented, and we are very proud.

G'day Hal - thank you for taking the time to visit my Photo Gallery to see my photo of the sunset.
I noticed as I left the computer and walked towards my kitchen and had to pass open doorways, that I could see a red glow everywhere, and that was looking away from the sunset. I just turned around and grabbed my camera and went outside, not knowing quite what it was going to look like, and voila, there it was.
Cheers,
Anne

Aussie slang. Not used so much these days.

To pike out...to leave early, pull the pin, to pull out before the finish.

Stick with your Boogidy! Boogidy! Boogidy!

It's your spelling and that makes it unique. The Aussies have never heard it before and probably no one else outside the US.

Marcos Ambrose drives NASCAR, he's a Tasmanian. Richard Petty Racing I think.

See yah!

G'day Hal, the coathanger pictures are definitely not mine as I've never actually been to Sydney other than stop-over at the airport.
They are Kate from Sydney photos and she once said she had posted thousands of photos on the site and I can well believe that.
Cheers,
Anne

Hi Hal, enjoyed your photos! Did I hear you say that you were married 49 years on an October 2010 posting? Does that mean you'll get to celebrate your 50th this year? Do you have any special trips planned for that occasion? Can we put in advance requests for photos? Thanks for sharing!

Hi Hal, The "address" is fine.

I think the best compliment I ever received on one of my pictures, was while I was stationed in Guam. I had a new camera, and of course Guam is photogenic. Long story short. When showing one of my better pics, the person, after looking at it, without saying a word, turned it over. (it was a 3 x 5 print) That was the best complement I've ever received for a picture. (my wife even noticed and the camera purchase was vindicated)

Hello Hal - thank you for visiting my page for whatever reason and the added bonus of leaving birthday wishes there for me. I've never been on the Member's birthday list from choice, although I think I was once by accident.
I had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. They get better each year!
Cheers,

Will you go all the way to Barbados? We once went from San Juan to Barbados. Loved St. Lucia, but it might have been because of the 'booze cruise' catamaran trip to the Pitons! Happy snorkeling!

Hello HalT! - I was on St. Marten about 32 years ago! It was a beautiful Island! If I recall correctly, it had beautiful lace tablecloths at very inexpensive prices. Have a safe trip. I am looking forward to seeing your pictures when you return!

Sounds like you had the best of trips... a warm, sunny one with grandies!
I asked because I was wondering if your cruise was the same cruise that I took, but it doesn't sound like it. Barbados was fine, but I enjoyed the other islands more. St. Thomas & St. Maarten had a bit more island personality, I think and St. Lucia for natural beauty. But then, I had a limited view of the real Barbados... a rum factory plantation & a local artist's house!

So glad to see an Aggie fan outside of Texas! It's been such an exciting season and last night was just crazy! You're pretty much right about the last big title being the Football one back in '39, but we have won several other national championships in "softer" sports like golf, track, and softball. Our equestrian team is amazing and rocks Nationals every year, but it's not an NCAA sport, so very few people even notice!
I can talk about all things Aggie all day if you'd let me...hahaha!
Hope you have a great day!
