fii, what a wonderful description of your Christmas morning, and on into the rest of the day. Yes, that was me overdoing it on the Stottish Scrawberries ... a very fond memory ... until the next morning. You asked for the URL on the guitar piece: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUF-RevdZTs He has a lot of other pieces on Youtube. I especially recommend his Beatles music. Nicely done.

My sister is in Darwin for Christmas. Staying with a friend of a friend in Humpty Doo. She is relinquishing (voluntarily) her 14 year old son to his father for the year who lives up there. He will be going to Palmerston High School.

for presenting all the data on the Beisa Oryx on the 22nd. It was my photo - I was gone for the Holidays. Some interesting facts. I think they are beautiful animals - as most antelopes and ungulates are. Maybe that is why I enjoy the deer in my back yard so much.

Hello Fi - a very belated Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Thank you for your good wishes and I'm sorry I haven't extended mine to you sooner but things were pretty hectic at my place over the Festive Season with Rebecca and family staying with me.
I had a wongerful Christmas with all seven of my grandchildren together for the first time, so it was extra special.
Things are pretty well back to normal now (except the couple of extra kilos I put on) and I'm back at work which is fairly quiet at present. Just as well as I can catch up on here.
Take care and best wishes for 2009!
Anne xx

fii, thanks for your anniversary wishes.

We were thinking of trying for dinner on Friday, 3rd. Is there anyone you would like to bring?

Don't worry about your flu, both Anne and I have suffered decent doses of the flu in recent weeks. Let's hope you are better by next week.

hi Ian,

Yes it's a nasty lergy, though the joy in it has been time out and it has been lovely to have some space, Re tea on Friday night, it sounds the best time really. Possibly Drue would join us for tea though I haven't run it by him yet. He doesn't share my sudoku tendencies and is more into fishing rods etc. Safe journeying and I hope that your anniversary has been a sonderful occasion for you both.

Hello Fi - I feel really bad that I've not been into your page for so long and didn't realise you had some beautiful photos here. Although I should have suspected you would have some lovely ones after different ones you've submitted to the site over the years.
There are some really great photos of up north and a lovely sunset one.
Cheers

Dear Fiona (somehow you're still FII to me! But I do like Fi, may I use that moniker for you?)
Thank you for the Easter greeting. It's true that we may overshoot the message with another symbol like Christmas with Santa. But a gentle reminder comes handy. Hopefully your Easter was fulfilling with family happiness!

fii, thank you very much for your Easter wishes, I enjoyed both cards.
Anne and I really enjoyed our short time in Darwin and have resolved to come back, this time in our motorhome.
I'm glad you are back safely but you have reminded me of the heat. When we were in Port Moresby we found it easy to acclimatise after about a week - but we didn't use air conditioners during that time. In Darwin we were constantly in and out of an air conditioned environment which made it difficult for us to settle down.
We have enjoyed our time with Keith and Lynne, they are gentle people and easy to look after.
Happy Easter from us both.

Dear Fi, your words have touched my heart, thank you. We have just got back from Adelaide, where we were celebrating my father's 80th, a quiet affair given our recent loss of Mum. My oldest sister was down from Sydney and with her, Dad, my brother and our families, we scattered Mum's ashes in the garden that she loved so much. My dear father bought us all a little silver box to keep a little of Mum with us always.

I wonder just how much Ian and Anne explained about our firm friendship?! They are the loveliest couple I have met and we got on famously.

Thank you for dropping in with your Easter greetings, it was very clever how amusingly they got such a poignant point across.

Blessings to you ♥

Thanks, Fi for the Easter wishes. I am sorry I am late with my reply. I have had a busy weekend as all my sisters and my brother plus husbands and wife and some of the grandchildren come to Dubbo for my Mum and Dad's 58th Wedding Anniversary on 10th April. It was great! - plenty of food, laughter, photos (you might see some of Kate's soon) and nice memories.

Thanks for the Easter card that did arrive in the end. I guess, if you are a bunny who has been told Easter is for you, you should not go to the cinema on your own at Easter. I watched Monty Python's 'Life of Brian' over Easter. Had a good laugh but wondered how they got away with it then.

Fii,its unfortunate that Christianity has been split in a few denominations, but there are only minor differences. We all celebrate HIS Birth in Christmas and HIS rise from death in Easter.
