Hi Ray! I left the site yesterday before you posted the 'Dreams and Reality' poem. I wanted you to know that I enjoyed it very much. You always make me think! I love how your mind works. It's nice to see you posting again, I've missed you.

You ask who owes who money? Wouldn't we all like to know that?

When I finally gave up on the market, I had undergone a 40% loss of capital, on which I'm now getting barely 1% interest. Meanwhile, the US has been printing currency and adding to the currency in circulation to the point that my US $1 as a percentage of currency circulating is 40% less than it was before the crash and the market has been recovering almost to the point it was before the crash. Then some dumb a$$ supposedly has fat fingers and typed a B rather than M on a sell order. Look at a keyboard, that fat finger would have ended up on an N (which is between the BM). This is awfully smelly.

To change the subject & have a laugh or a cry. Check out this video entitled To Dumb to Mock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiFufid78aA&feature=related
I love the Admiral's response to his question, at about 1:20 - unbelievable calm and respectful answer - that takes a lot of personal discipline. I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to stop laughing. So sad! He is one of the 435 members of the US House of Representatives. You have to wonder if he will be reelected in November.

RayRay, we introspective types often end up feeling invisible in an extrovert's world. Actually, it's not the extrovert's world ... we just don't put up much of a fight. It's fine to let them fill up the empty spaces with activity until we get the urge to be profound.

I don't get to Sudokuland (Easy) as much as I used to. Imagine my delight to see that you were there yesterday! It's so nice to "see" you! I hope all is well for you! Take care!

And a VERY belated to you!

Hi Ray! I loved your verse, "The Gifted Chuck". The first two lines made me laugh out loud. I know people use LOL way too much, but in this case, it was true! I am so happy you are back with your wit and your talent!

Rayray, the use if tinned beets was my attempt at humor. Perhaps you can grind up some corn flakes or corn puffs for the cornbread.. I don't think that will work. When I read the posts it is very apparent that more than a couple of oceans separate all of us. That is one of the reasons I read them and join in the conversation. It is always good to learn from anothers point of view and experiences. Now, I must go read the post for today.

Though gumdrop pancakes could be a good thing.

Hey RayRay,

Hope that your Nordie self is keeping well in the southern parts.

I have to admit that I really don't have much concern about being first or 22nd or 33rd or the notorious page turner overer. But I do (rather mischieviously) have a quiet teasing enjoyment in creating a flurry from time to time ...so don't feel pressured to respond to my call for a flurry.

It's mighty hard to use compliments when thinking of the subject matter of your poem, but that was one of your best, Rayray! You put humankind in perfect perspective with Mother Nature.

Hello Ray - I just read your comment on tough about Bev's flowering plant. I didn't say that was a pineapple lily, I had said that I have got one growing in my garden that has finally flowered.
Cheers,
