Rayray from an Egg

The vast majority of the photos I have posted have been cropped using photoediting software. I further compress the images down to an 800x600 pixel format for this site. With a basic image size of 3456 x 2592 to work with, I can remove 80% of a raw photo and still have a sharp image at 800x600. The swimming anhinga is uncropped, but the anhinga w/bright turquoise eye is not.

Woops! The cropped photo is the black bird with turquoise eye, and the swimming bird is uncropped.

I am so glad you liked my sunrise photo! When I first saw the sky my jaw dropped! I had never seen the sky look this way at twilight. It wasn't dark at all (probably due to some fog) and the colors were stunning! A few minutes later the colors had changed completely. I was very fortunate to be there at the right time.
