Hi Angie! You've already had so many good suggestions on ideas for your daughter's project I don't have much more to add other than that I do like Billy's idea for a theme - especially on the Man-made list, maybe a statue or carvings (of different materials, too?) from each continent?? I would vote for Mt. Rushmore in North America, Statue of Christ in South America, terra cotta soldiers in Asia, David in Europe, ?? in Africa?, etc.

Angie, tried to send a comment the other day that got lost? Wanted to tell you I think I can understand your job frustrations. I worked for over 10 years at the front desk & later as an office manager for two different plastic surgeons. Many times I had to force myself to smile & be pleasant to patients who were grumpy & demanding! Often plastic surgery patients (hmm, come to think of it, the drs.,too??) are very self centered & overly perfectionistic. I don't miss dealing with that type at all, although I do miss some of the people I worked with. Keep smiling!
Someday you'll be retired, too!

Angie - Thank you so much for the bubbly and nibblies and especially for the custom smilie! Unfortunately, I am not a supporting member (yet) so cannot use the smilie in my posts. I'm sure that I will be upgrading my membership at some point, but in the meantime, I've copied it to use in my regular e-mail. You are a very creative person! Also, I enjoyed your photo album. You have a lovely family! Keep smiling!

Hello, Angie. Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men was the first show we ever saw when my family first got television way back in 1958. We sat and watched the test screen patiently until programs started in the afternoon. My own kids watched the same show years later, and I was quite pleased when the BBC revived (and up-dated) the flowerpot men a few years ago, so that my grandchildren could continue the tradition and become the third generation to watch them. Thanks for the memories.

Hey Angie, Wow! How did you get your page looking so fantastic???? I am jealous... but perhaps I need to spend a little more time here before I bow my head in despair.
Thank you for your words of encouragement regarding VB. It has been a very difficult 6 months but in the last few days she has been guzzling down her milk and has started on Farex and pears and is loving it. So hopefully we will get a good result next time we weigh in. We have gotten one good result back from the blood tests and we are just waiting for one more from the blood we were able to get from her a couple of weeks ago. We still have more tests to run when we can get more blood from her.
I loved the photos. Are all those girls yours? How old are they? Emily looks lovely in those photos. How's eisteddfod season going? We have the Opera House one for Ariane's Bollywood dance group next week and the girls are very excited/nervous.
Please pop in and visit when you can, Rose.

Angie - I had an interest in travel as a child - first I collected miniture licence plates that came in cereal boxes (Wheaties ?) it next progressed to ordering travel brochures from every state & province. Also collected decals from the different places we traveled on vacation. While reading 'Burma Shave' signs and notating the diffent licences I'd see on the trip. Then on to a subscribing to National Geographic. In high school, I excelled in Geography - due to my interest in other cultures and places. My teacher, Mr. Weiner, told me to send him a post card from Paris. He knew that I would get there. The one I sent him, when I was 25 may not have been the type of 'Paris Post Card' to which he was most likely referring, it was the Eifel Tower.

Hi, Angie! Thanks for the visit! I, too, enjoyed the site today. I think I must have been an Aussie in one of my previous lives, as I get a real hoot out of your wacky sense of humor! By the way, the story's not dead yet. At least I hope not. Someone tried to end it with a rescue by Canuck Greg, but I immediately promoted him to National Sales Manager of Bucky's Beavertail Pastry Company, thus limiting him to one week's vacation this year, so I don't think he'll be saving you and Rosemary any time soon. Good luck!

Hi Angie! Thanks for the visit and the new page! I checked to see about putting the pictures in a puzzle and I guess you can't do that directly from the pictures uploaded. Also, apparently there is a back load of pictures so new ones are being sent to a linked site. Maybe when Gath puts a different system in place, then I can do it. Have a great night/day!

Angie,
for your best wishes for James on his 18th birthday. I can't believe that my sweet little 4.3kg baby is all grown up now. Actually he has grown up and up and up some more - now stands at 6'3''. He still has his sweet nature though - looks at me with his puppy dog eyes and twists me around his not-so-little fingers. Oh well, that's a mum for you.

Hi Angie! Have missed seeing comments from you on Easy lately so know you must be busy. I've been wondering how your daughter's round the world project turned out? What places did she pick? I hope she was happy with her end result & got a good grade for her efforts. Have a great day!

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.

Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers. It truly meant a lot to have the support of so many at a difficult time. I am fortunate to have many wonderful memories of my grand mother which I will always cherish. Thanks again.

Hey Jazzy Lady...Thanks for checking things out and thinking about me...I was having a blast at the festival...it was out of town and I was shaking my bootee so much to some dynamite music, but it was so nice to find that there were a few folks who missed me...how cool is that!!! I'm loving everything right now. I had a nice time going through your pictures too and recalling all of your sewing...can't wait to see what you've come up with this time. Tell Emily that she is absolutely gorgeous too...hope she's as sweet as her mum.. stay well ...cyl8r
