WELCOME TO THE BEAN PAD....

Before anyone asks I'm not related to Mr Bean although I must admit we saw him live in Melbourne many moons ago and it was one of the most memorable shows I've been too. 'Bean' is a childhood nickname that my elder sister bestowed apon me - rhymes with my second name 'Jean'. Truth often is a bit boring - should've let you ponder on such a strange handle  [name for those not up on Ozzie slang] for a bit longer.

Nothing else to say but I'm glad you dropped bye .....

Hi Bean. Thanks for stopping by awhile back. My Birthday boy turned four on Sept 30 and celebrated quietly with sisters and grandparents. Then 4 days later at his birthday party he declared that he was now four and a half! So I guess his age depends on who you ask!

my special Bean...for the wonderful Anniversary wishes you left on my page.
We had a great time on our trip and what a great way to celebrate our 10th year of marriage - we travel very well together and love our driving trips the most!

Who the heck is this 'Beanie Baby'? Does it represent a new lease of life or a change of personality - because I always enjoyed the old cheerful, loveable Bean. I do hope you haven't 'done her in'.

Bean. Thanks for the welcome. There are a surprising number of people we have met now. It is great and we hope to add more to the list on our travels. That evening in Melbourne was memorable though. I can remember the welcome we had as we walked in the door. I feel sorry for anyone who was out for a nice quiet evening. Hope to chat some more later.

Hi Bean...What a fantastic idea about the continence aids.I actually work in aged cared & do the ordering for our centre, but never considered something for my little old girl.
She is very tiny,so maybe a premmie pad for her or a bed sheet would work.
I'm very reluctant to put her down because she has a great appertite, her skin condition is managed by medication...I just have to keep her warm because she hasn"t much hair. She isn"t in pain just old for her years because of the medication that can damage organs.
Thank you for caring and emailing me..very sweet

My lovely Bean! Thanks for popping by to check in...seems like I just missed you this morning (for me - night for you)
I have been busy getting situated. Mike's hand is coming along slowly - no harm done by his driving...he has started physical therapy (hates it) - I'm sure it will help his recovery.
I miss you bunches, too. I have been SO tired in the evenings that I have been falling asleep watching the World Series. I fell asleep at 7:30 last night! I'm hoping I will be more awake tonight...will be taking my laptop into the living room while we watch the game so hopefully I can chat with you guys on IM. Love ya, my Beanie Baby!!!

Hi Bean, We are in Discovery Bay along with a HUGE number of other expats. It's a small(ish) community with loads of facilities for English speaking kids and an easy commute to most other parts of HK - except of course the only Spotlight store in HK, which is right over the other side! Still, given the extra green space and facilities for the kids it's a small sacrifice!
Could you please explain 'rodeuse' for me - I must have missed that one... Thanks, PJay

Hi, Bean! I'll try to clarify my location. First of all, Illinois is considered a midwestern state, though it is more "mid" than middle of western. The state to the north is Wisconsin; on the east is Indiana; Kentucky is at the far south east end of the state; Missouri is the lower half of the western border; Iowa is the upper half of the western border. The entire western border is formed by the Mississippi River. I live in the northeast part of the state in a suburb northwest of Chicago. There is only 1 time zone, the Central time zone. (Indiana and Kentucky have 2 zones.) Now that is probably WAY more information than you were looking for.

I hope you'll have a great day!

Hi, Bean!
for the lovely birthday wishes!

And I'm glad to find out the origin of your name (why is this lady calling herself 'Bean'?) altho I am rather a fan of Mr Bean (to my hubby's chagrin--NOT a fan of British humor--shakes his head when my son & I watch Monty Python...)

For your thoughts about Scrap and Mum.
To be honest Bean, I haven't heard anything about Mum since Wednesday which is when my sis left Adelaide. Apparently she was a lot better then, so here's hoping her time left is comfortable. Heaven only knows when the inevitable will be. I think it is now a day to day proposition but knowing her, it still could be years!
Sending positive vibes Lachie's way.

Hi Bean - thanks for message - I had my go, and won - used up my tiles first. But it didn't email me that you'd had your turn. Weird - it has every other time. I probably should have mentioned at the outset that I come from a family of fanatical Scrabble players, have played it all my life. I'm mild compared to them!!

Hi Bean
Yes my 'booby' bag gets comments every time I take it out.
Big W had them the other week for $25 and they came with a pack of 6 nail polishes and nail scissors etc.
I take it out when I collect my Avon monies.
Another scrabble fanatic here but never can find anyone to play with me other than Ethan now and then.

Bean, Thank you for TOPPing a page for me. I am thrilled it was you. As for Rachel dressing up for halloween, she was actually a good sport about it. She let me dress her and she didn't seem to fuss with it. My husband took the kids trick-or-treating and Rachel and I sat on the front porch passing out the candy.

Bean, a bit late in the day but a banana is not a bad 'binder', or grated apple, although I do not find that as apertising.

Hi Bean:
I like your present avatar - the one of the germinating bean seedling (or should I say Bean seedling). When it becomes a bean it will then be a has-been bean seedling, but it will also be a still-bean because it will still be a bean.
My cold knocked the hell out of me so I think it is going to be a bad winter. I have no energy right now.

Hi, Bean! Thanks for the visit! I suppose my name has been in the friends box for hours, as the computer is still on and I haven't logged off. I've been doing some puzzles, playing some games, and reading some e-mail, but also away from the computer much of the time doing ffuts. There's no rest for the wicked!

I hope your weekend has gone well, and you've had time to rest and relax! Hope to see you at SA6 later.

Here we go again! Pete, hunting and gathering? Making dinner with the results? What could he hunt? What could he be gathering? I would be wary of the dinner. Best tell him to marinate with plenty of wine! The alcohol in the wine should sterilize it well. Oh be sure to drink plenty of the wine to make sure, if the meat is not sanitized properly.

Bean. Thanks for the comments on my page. I have been around the site for a while but due to a pile of stuff just lost the time for about a year. We too love our bubbles and are drinking a pile of sparkling Rose at the moment. I have found some very nice stuff on dola.com.au which at about $42 a case and not much for shipping makes it very drinkable. As I live in Canberra it becomes even more affordable (pick up). So to thank you I leave a very nice bottle of Berri Estate Brut Rose. Gus

Oh Bean, thank you very much! If ever I get to Australia, let's go out and paint the town red! You sound like the kind of person who'd be as silly as me! The same applies when you come to California. Not the Ritz but a private room, just kick the cat out!

I would LOVE to make you a set of them but unfortunately I over did it and injured my thumb last year! I made ornaments for a year and gave to my daughters and my nieces,

Hey Bean, good to hear from you, how have you been, well I hope, thanks for the invite and yes skipton is quite a hike to cockatoo but you know what makes it worse that we lived in wantirna before we moved to skipton, hows that for a joke, just down the road and I would have been able to come all the time to all the meets now out here in the bush, well thats a tale for another day. I am sorry to be missing out but please do say hello and best wishes to Rena and have a drink for me. I will be thinking of you all even though I wont be there. take care.

Hi Bean,
thanks for dropping in and saying hello. Cedric is an extremely special bear and goes everywhere I go. He doesn't like heights and planes, but he's slowly getting used to it. Exposure is the key... Will drop by soon to meet you all and for a chat. Right now, I'm in trouble for not getting ready to go out!!
