WELCOME TO THE BEAN PAD....

Before anyone asks I'm not related to Mr Bean although I must admit we saw him live in Melbourne many moons ago and it was one of the most memorable shows I've been too. 'Bean' is a childhood nickname that my elder sister bestowed apon me - rhymes with my second name 'Jean'. Truth often is a bit boring - should've let you ponder on such a strange handle  [name for those not up on Ozzie slang] for a bit longer.

Nothing else to say but I'm glad you dropped bye .....

Bean, I was thrilled to hear from you. There was a time I'd stop by each page to greet all the members, but we've grown to such a large family. Thank you so much for stopping by with birthday greetings and holiday wishes. All the best to you and yours during this festive season!
Cheers!

Thanks for coming up today, as usual, a fab time was had by all.
Just had a note about a member from Brissie who is coming down to Melbourne in a couple of weeks, and I said I would arrange a meet of some sort (cuppa, meal?) while she is here. Her page name is Katitude, and she plans on being here from the 10th Jan for a few days, so let me know if you would like to get together again.

Hi Bean, thanks for commenting on my photos! I'm so "chuffed" that I actually managed to do it! -with a lot of help and encouragement from everyone on this site!
Poor Jack has gone to doggy heaven, I'm afraid -he was sixteen, so had a pretty good innings. The "Old Jack" photo is one of the last - life became a real struggle for him, and we couldn't let him suffer any longer. One of the hard, but inevitable, parts of owning a pet. That's why I decided to start my uploads with some photos of the little guy.

Hello Bean - a very belated Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
Thank you for your good wishes and I'm sorry I haven't extended mine to you sooner but things were pretty hectic at my place over the Festive Season with family staying with me.
I had a wongerful Christmas with all seven of my grandchildren together for the first time, so it was extra special and Bailey really enjoyed his first Christmas with all his cousins making a fuss of him.
I hope you had a wongerful Christmas and New Year.
Take care and best wishes for 2009!

thanks for the link bean. and you're right, i can totally relate. except, i would just tell the kids that they are not going to the birthday parties. i'm surprised that a man would go to all the trouble too....he might be weird. i get all wound up like that over "important" things like sports. my tuesdays are like that guy's b-day party whirlwind. i have b-ball in town with one, tennis 20 min. away, track 40 min. one way in a different direction from tennis, and choir in another direction 15 min. away. throw in homework, bored younger kids and dinner prep, and you got one crazy mom by the time night falls. i'm glad i am not the only crazy parent out there. thanks ☺.

Bean, shame on you! We do not visit foreign lands and watch exotic ethnic folkways just so we can OGLE their gentlemen's goodies! I am shocked! And I'll have you know that I deliberately did not upload the rather more revealing of my photos of said gentlemen, because I thought they might cause consternation among the gently bred visitors to this site!
However, I might send them to you, in a plain brown paper wrapper, for a small fee ... ;)

Sorry Bean, just kidding! Didn't see your other comments - do I still quilt? Yes, kind of - I buy material and look at it a lot - I definitely THINK about quilts, just a little short on the actual MAKING, if you know what I mean! Perhaps talking about quilting with others might spur me on to really do something - it certainly sounds like fun, so if you'd like to start the Sudoku Quilters Guild, or similar, I'd certainly be happy to join! :)

Thank you Bean for your kind words of comfort. My Dad was ready to go as he hated knowing that he was losing his memory and felt that he was a burden to us at least now he is at peace.
