Susan from Ingham posted a note on my page, saying that I was offended by something you said. I don't remember being offended by anything anyone said. Did I hit the report button by mistake? I did do that once when I first came on site, and told Gath I was sorry I was so clumbsy.

Debby! Thanks for stopping by with the lovely fall roses, a most welcome sight, especially on the one-month anniversary of Mom's passing. We've spent two weekends packing up and clearing out things from the house I grew up in, just a very draining, emotional time, with the inevitable tension between siblings. I've insisted on taking this next weekend off for a breather and to catch up on chores in our own home. Otherwise, we're soldiering on here somehow ... Hope all is going splendidly with you and yours. I'm leaving you a bottle of Niagara riesling to enjoy with your dinner this evening. Cheers!

Debby. Just dropped by to see if you were the Debby from up around Traverse City. You are not. I did look at your photos. You must be very proud of your wonderful family. Do you play Blue Grass?? We have some friends here in Yuma AZ who love it and have been to a couple festivals with them. We enjoy it as well.

Hi Debby! from Rob, Ebony & me! Wish I could be in Michigan to see some of the fall colors. Rob took Bryce home to NC & brought me some pretty leaves when he came back. We had a fun filled month in Oct. (did you see my Flickr pictures?) & Nov. is going to be just as busy. A friend from Switzerland is arriving on Sat. & our daughter Wendy & family on Monday. They are bringing their black lab mix dog so Ebony will have a playmate for a few days! Hope all is well with your family. How are your Mom & Dad lately?

Just realized I wrote the following note on my OWN page! Duh, it's either because of getting old or being in too much of a hurry. I'll pick the latter excuse!
Good morning Debby! How we used to love Big 10 football games on a crisp fall Michigan day! Our youngest daughter Kyley will be going up to
Ann Arbor for the Mich.-Ohio State game on Nov. 17. Her teaching partner went to Ohio State so they have a fun friendly rivalry ongoing! Last year they watched together in a sports bar. This year they MAY? get into the stadium. I must get busy this AM & clean my house. We have a house guest arriving tonight from Switzerland. Luckily, Kyley will pick her up since we'll be at the wedding. Have a great weekend! Go Blue!!!

Hi, Debby!

Yes, Twinky would do a good job of cleaning the mice out of your house! The only trouble is we need her here to make sure the palm rats don't invade! We've been lucky so far, but come winter, they like to move into attics. I think our air vents are secure, but those rats are persistent.

I was just admiring the picures of your instruments, and I think you (and your band) should give serious consideration to heading down this way sometime to play at the Woodbine Opry. Woodbine (Georgia) is about 20 miles from us, and every Friday and Saturday night the locals serve up a Southern style dinner ($7 a head), followed by music (Bluegrass/gospel on Fridays and country on Saturdays) in an old schoolhouse that is being renovated - thanks to donations made at the "Opry". You would have a ball, and so would we (the audience!!!) Check out their website:

Hi Debbie: Thank you for stopping by my page and wanting to become one of my contacts in Flickr.
I just added you as a friend (again) at Flickr. When you open your page (Flickr) go to your Home page (click on HOME on the upper left hand corner of the page, (if you are not there when you first click) While on the Home look on the upper right hand (near the corner) and you will see a yellow envelope next to your name. That means you have mail. You will also see a message under your icon that indicates how many messages you have. Click on either the envelope or the "You have # messages" and that will take you to your mailbox. There you will see all the emails. Look for one that will say "You are nal from miami's newest contact" Click on that and click on "Add nal from miami as your contact" You can look at my photos and profile from that e-mail.
Let me know if this helped.

Hi Debby! My thoughts were in Michigan today so I just had to wrote & say hi to you. Our daughter Kyley DID manage to get tickets into the Mich.-OSU game, but as you probably know, it was a very disappointing game for Wolverine fans. She must have been so cold & wet & disappointed watching her favorite football team lose. I hope she at least had a fun time yesterday celebrating her 27th birthday. I posted a new picture on my page of Rob & me with the three NC grandsons. Last Sat. was a MUCH happier day for us than today!!! Hope you & your family are all well. Kyley tells us it's really COLD up there!

Hey Debbie, you're lucky you found your son's lunch box. I thinking some things are still lurking in the closets from last year's Thanksgiving! Oh well, the good thing about growing old is that you don't know it!

Hello Debby. Your snowy picture actually brought tears to my eyes as it brought back memories of many Northern holidays in Ohio with my now deceased parents. I miss them so much especially at Thanksgiving & Christmas. I hope you & your family in Michigan will have a wonderful day together, & I hope your Mom & Dad in FL will have someone to spend the day with, too. Rob & I will be leaving at noon to drive to Orlando. Hope the traffic won't be TOO bad!

Debby, where in Germany will Jeremiah be staying? Today has brought back lots of memories for me. First Anne's picture of the Inca trail made me think of our trip to Peru, & now your son going to Germany makes me think of our trip there, too. Someone from a site called Schmap wrote & asked permission to use one of Rob's Flickr pictures in a guide to Frankfurt! Hope your son will have time for some sightseeing. The people of Germany are so warm & friendly. We loved it there.

Gday Debbie, I don't get to catch up much with you anymore so I thought I'd pop in to see how you are doing. The house looks spectacular in its snow coat. It's been wongerful to see your house in all its seasonal colours.
I hope this finds you and yours well and I also hope you had a great Thanksgiving. See you soon,
Gail

Hi Debby, sorry for responding so late but things really got hectic for last couple of months. Got so involved in settling my younger daughter that I was in virtual spin and picture was quite hazy. It seems to be getting clearer now and hopefully she will be settled soon.
Your invitation of 'the door is always open' is the very essence of Sikhism wherein all Gurudwaras (Sikh temples) have four doors and they are all open indicating that all visitors irrespective of caste, creed or religion are welcome from any direction.
thanx for your kind words. will keep in touch. bye and take care.

Hello Debbie, thanks for dropping by my page, lovely photo of the snow covered home. Sure miss the snow. Had my first experience of snow when i was studying in Leeds, UK but that was like ages ago. We don't have the 4 seasons here in Malaysia, it's either hot and sunny, warm and breezy or cold and pouring.

Debby, Yesterday was alright until it got dark, 5:00 pm. Had addressed half of my Christmas cards. Then there was nothing to do, hard to read or write by candle light. Had plenty of candles so used them, wanted to conserve the flashlights. We had meat to make sandwiches and plenty of chips. Had bought some marshmallows so had snack, dessert, snack. We are the lucky ones our power is on, I know there are still many here in town who have no power and many more across the state. It has affected us of course but also parts of Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois so I have heard. The weather said this storm is headed north east, hope it misses your area.
Take care,

Debby, I have some pictures of my yard taken during the ice storm. Most all the ice is gone but there are a lot of people without power still. The weather man seems to think we need snow tomorrow. Only problem it will turn to ice, not cold enough to stick and mixed with rain. I know what you mean about the getting home. We live on a hill about 300ft, so every time we have this type of weather it is a challenge to either go up or go down the hill. The city usually is fairly good about putting down gravel, as a member of city government lives up here. There are about 80 houses on up here on the hill
