Hi Debby. I came back to look at your snow picture again! Rob's brother's girlfriend in Chelsea wrote this morning that they are having a big snowstorm today. Guess the folks in many states are seeing lots of white, including you! Glad Jeremiah got home from Germany safely. Hope you & all your family will enjoy many blessings this Christmas & all through the new year

Debby, just want to let you know right away that we will NOT be in FL from Jan. 6-20, so I'm hoping maybe your trip to see your parents might be later in the month. We will be spending the week of Jan. 6-13 in NC with our middle daughter & family & then the week of Jan. 13-20 at the Fripp Island beach house. Sure would hate to miss meeting up with you again this time around. Stay warm & cozy in your Winter Wonderland up there!! Rick must get so cold working on Jenny(ie?)'s car. Hope he's done soon!

Debby, All if fine here, at the moment. The snow storm only left 1 inch and all was melted in 2 days. We are even having a heat wave, was in the 50's today should be the same tomorrow maybe even the next day. I did not mind the snow, no ice with it. Yes, there are still parts of OK without power, mostly in OKC and in the rural areas all over the state.

Thanks Debby for the welcome wishes and chocolate munchies, I have been visiting these pages and commenting sicen May 2005 b ut hadn' got around to setting up my own page- Still not sure that I will afford the time to make my page interesting to visit.

May you and your family enjoy a joyful Christmas with the traditional gifts of love, peace and hope

I always do lemon cordial for Christmas pressies. Love that home-made feel. I used to have a lemon tree in Victoria but up here we have a lime. I'm actually going to make another couple of batches today and maybe mix some lemon and lime.... so here's yours
LEMON CORDIAL
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.5 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off the heat and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven ) bottles

Whilst lemon cordial is great in out hot Australian Christmas climate.. you may want to try it with honey and hotwater (perhaps with a dash of whiskey as a hot toddy.

Enjoy with my blessings!! fi

Hi Debby, Tourtières are a french canadian tradition meat pie. It used to be made with wild birds (tourterelles) but today we make them with minced veal, pork and beef and a pinch of clove and cinnamon. There is no Christmas without Tourtières...some people put also mash potatoes inside.

Debby, doesn't it seem that life is such a roller coaster of good news & bad news! It was good to hear that Jenny made the Dean's list, but bad to hear about your poor swollen face. Hope it gets better fast, so you can start to think about getting down to FL. I hope when you do come, it will be much warmer than the past couple days! I'm sure your mom & dad have told you about the really low (well, for FL anyway!) temps we've had. I figure maybe this is God's way of helping me adjust to the colder weather we'll have in NC & SC! Have almost finished putting the Christmas stuff away - ugh, what a big job. Tomorrow we'll get the suitcases out again & Sun. we'll drive to NC. I won't have a lot of time on the computer while we're traveling, but I'll try to check in now & then. We have a meeting in Atlanta on Feb. 10, but other than that we should be home whenever you do get down to your folks. Hope to see you in a few weeks!

DEBBIE, thanks for the lovely comments about my quilts! I really need to put up some new photos, I found more photos on my computer one day, now to find them again! I really enjoyed working on the quilts, and miss being able to with the problem I have now with my hands. Maybe some day I can return to them. I still have a lot of unfinished projects and dozens more in my head wanting to be made. I cannot die yet, I still have fabric!!

Thank you Debbie, you are too kind. Belated wishes count just as much. In fact, I just went down to the post office today for the first time in days and what do you think I found there. A card from Rolanda. I am deeply touched by you all.
The roses are beautiful. Thank you once again.

Debby, I live about an hour west of Detroit. Compared to Australia, we're almost neighbors! Funny thing, after my husband mowed this afternoon, our neighbor mowed theirs! Guess they figured if he could look crazy, then they could too! Hope we don't get too much snow. I haven't looked at the weather channel today. I know that Petoskey was getting buckets of snow this afternoon. Hope it's not on its way downstate!

Debby, When you get your grandchildren, that's when the fun starts. I've enjoyed every minute of it (my oldest GC is 9) which I never really expected to. My kids are 37 and 35, not kids anymore. Cheers, Cynthia

Hello, Debby. Glad you liked the Harry Caray stories. I love all the pics you have of folk music instruments. In college in Missouri, I loved go to Bluegrass Conventions, out near Eminence MO, at Sinkin Creek. Great memories!
I was looking through your Flickr photos, and could not help but notice you have a wonderful photo of a Sandhill Crane and its chick- but you have them labeled as Blue Heron. Check out my photo gallery, I have pictures of both birds so you can see the differences.

Mea culpa! It's been awhile since I visited so thought I'd drop in with a batch of liqueur-laced hot chocolate for us to share. It's cold here too. Does this thermal underwear make my behind look fat? Have a wonderful day and stay warm!
