Back at Christmas time I posted the news that grandson Chase was going to become a big brother in July. I am happy to announce that his baby sister Maddox Ann Martin was born at 6:09 P.M. on July 27, 2015. She weighed 9 pounds and measured 21 1/4 inches long. We are thrilled to have a third granddaughter (the others are 19 and 16!) and six grandsons and feel very blessed.

Thanks for visiting my page Kathy. I found the Pandanas tree on the foreshore of the ocean at The Gold Coast, Queensland. MY daughter thought the...ummm......'growths' from the trunk looked like upside down beer bottles and wanted me to take a photo of her with her mouth under it. It DIDNT look like an up side down beer bottle to me - so I didn't take the photo. Believe it or not ..the other name for the Pandanas Tree is.....'A Screw Palm'..NO JOKE.

Kathy - Thanks for your visit. Those grandsons sound like they keep you busy. My children took Sanchun Ru Karate for several years. It was fun to watch them. I think the skills they learn are great. Self-control etc. I am not sure about the bunny. Jenny's bunny, FuFu, died this time last year. (Over Easter break) She was up north visiting a cousin and was just heart broken when she found out. My husband made FuFu a wooden casket and buried her in the back yard. He found a unique field stone as her head stone. No, I do not have any grandchildren yet. We hope to move to Virginia in the next year or two. My son-in-law's plan is to start a family as we get ready to move........He thinks it will keep us here?

Kathy, thanks for stopping by. Martina McBride wrote that song and yes, the message is wonderful.
It is Friday, and our time in Moab is coming to an end. We have had a great time. Linda stays in the car most of the time and has thoroughly enjoyed the Jeeping.
Wonderful sunset pic. I need to take some time to go through your Flickr to see your trip. I will when I get home....Dave

Hi Kathy - It was nice to have you visit. Rosie is Jenny's new bunny. I am sorry for the confusion. She missed FuFu so much and wanted another bunny. I watched a Coyote run through my front yard this morning. Do you have any down your way? Out by Fort Myers airport, they are seeing panthers. We have seen a lot of deer, also, the last couple of weeks.

Hi Kathy,
Hope your daughter is doing good after her surgery. How are your grandsons? HOW ARE YOU? Hope they haven't run you ragged. When do you go back home? Doesn't Rob have a tournament soon?
The weather has got warm here, we are getting rain, rain, and more rain. Just hope we don't use it all up before July when we really will need some. I will email soon.

Hi, Kathy, and good luck to Rob and his team.
You mentioned the tube of Vegemite. How much protein is in it? Is it high in calories? If you have NO ONE else interested in it and it has protein, I would give it a try. If you have other takers, by all means send it to them. Thanks.

Hello Kathy,
thanks for stopping by my page....yes, we do travel back and forth between NC and LA. LOL. I can see how you could think otherwise, tho. LOL.
The Bayou Teche meanders through the central southern part of Louisiana on its way to the Gulf of Mexico; my pictures were taken in New Iberia, Louisiana. I have some pictures of the plantation there called Shadows on the Teche posted on my flickr page, if you are interested.

Hi Kathy - I like your Avatar! I am sorry you daughter had so much pain. I hope it proves to be worth it all. I am sure you had a lot of fun with your grandsons! They grow up so fast! We use to meet my mom and dad in Virginia and spend a week at a time with them. It was nice for all of us.
I find, as I grow older, it gets harder to leave my parents. My mom has been officially diagnosed with Autoimmune Pancreatitis. She has had so much pain with it. I feel so helpless being so far away. One of their biggest problems is cooking meals. My dad has many talents, but cooking isn't one of them. My mom has never drank any kind of alcohol in her life, so it is hard to understand why she has this. Usually is is caused from alcoholism......
Tonight is Jenny's Prom. She has had a French manicure this week and had her hair professionally done today. I will post a picture soon.

Hi, Kathy! I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I have to admit getting swept up in Gath's BIG competition. I figured it wasn't possible to win it, but it was fun trying to keep the post often enough to prolong the competiton. It was almost like being in the Chatroom at the end, as the posts were coming really fast. Apparently Stella has won the competition - about 1/2 hour ago, though no confirmation from Gath yet.
I checked with my sister in Sterling (near Dixon), but she didn't know your friend. My sister's son who lives in Dixon in Greg Willey. Now, hope you and Rob have a great weekend ahead, and Happy Mothers Day to you!

Yes both were great because my sons took me and my husband out to lunch and bowling. It was hilarious because we're all lousy bowlers, barely breaking the 80's if we were lucky. We had a really fun time razzing each other and cursing the ball. We invented new dance steps trying to communicate with the ball to go one way or another, played bumper shoot with the bumpers. We're going to do it again! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day too.

Hi Kathy - Welcome Home! It is fun to travel and see different things, but it is always nice to come home. (No place like Home) I hope you had a nice Mother's Day. Mine was spent here at home with my children. The weather warmed up enough that we could sit on the back deck in the afternoon in the sun! Are you near any of the fires down there? I talked to my aunt yesterday and she said they were getting some of the smoke there in Cape Coral. (That is too close for comfort.)

Lindsey - I see that you do not have your own page so I will answer here & hope you come back to check. The sunset photo was taken in Ecuador. We flew from Quuito to Coca then took a motorized canoe from to the Yachana Lodge in the Amazon jungle where we stayed for 3 nights. The Napo River is a tributary of the Amazon River. Now will you tell me where Lake City is??

Hi Kathy, Glad to see that you and Rob are back home at last. Missed your input while you were gone. Hope your daughter is making great strides and I know she had to be happy to have Mom and Daddy spoiling her a little as she recuperated. However, I can imagine how good it is to be back home. Sully and I live about an hour or more from the airport, but we can catch the train down and meet you and Rob for a drink, lunch or just a hi and bye, at the airport. I'm not sure as I type this that there's a place that we can go now outside of the secure areas. The Philadelphia International is not concussive to meeting others. Perhaps when you have your itinerary, we can come up with something. I'd really like to try. We'll see when the time is closer.

Kathy,
I do love Florida, but I'm back in MA for most of the summer. Today, it is raining with a high temp of 45 degrees! Not what I want at all. I'm flying down in July so that I can go to Menopause and to some Red Sox games. If I hadn't promised other people (including husband) that I'd help with projects, I definitely be in Spring Hill!

Hi Kathy! I'm a Kathleen. We live in Bowie, it's halfway between Annapolis and DC. Where are you heading to in PA? Kind of hard to believe BWI is the closest airport. Depends on where you're going, I guess. The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is very interesting. Lots of things to see there. The Baltimore Aquarium is a must see.

Kathy, the Monarch Watch program started in 1992. What did your husband study at KU? I am a three-time graduate of WSU--sort of. Actually, I first graduated from WU as it was not a state school then, but I got my next two degrees after the state kicked in.
How do I get my email address to you so we don't have to go through our favorite website?

Try again, I have had trouble posting this!!
Hello Kathy, welcome back amd thank you for visiting my page.
Sam, the dog, is half Weimaraner and half Labrador. He looks exactly like a Weimaraner, but he is solid black. He was given to my daughter by her boyfriend, for Valentines Day. He was bought from a breeder, but his mother was a little bit naughty!! I beleive he cost $400.00.
We have 3 children. The eldest is Jack who is 24, and lives in Melbourne (10 hours south). The blonde is Bethany who is 21, and lives in Coffs Harbour (6 hours north). Margie is the baby, and will be 20 in 6 weeks, and still lives at home. She is Santa in the pic on my page, and the owner of Sam.
At the moment I can only post pics that have been emailed to me, but will get Margie to show me how to do others when she comes home. She just got her Drivers Licence , and I wonder if I will ever see her again!!
Please visit me any time.
