We are right now living in Oceanside, CA on Camp Pendleton---soon to move this summer to Ridgecrest, CA, home of China Lake Naval Air Station---right in the Mojave Desert near Death Valley! Should be an adventure. Where in OK are you? My best girlfriend here is from Tulsa!

Sue,
I've had a busy weekend, only just came home and checked the site.
So happy to hear that Hubby is home, its all good. The healing process may be slow, but one day at a time, and before you know it, he will be chasing your around the kitchen table again. LOL
Keeping you both in my thoughts.

Sue, your flower photos are just wonderful, you must be a keen gardener - as well as your proven skills as a photographer.

Yes, that was my MG A, but I also owned a MG B and an E Type Jaguar - which was the greatest of them all. The MGs were just sports cars but the Jag was a flash of lightning. In the MGs 60 - 65 mph was about 3500 rpm; in the E Type 3500 rpm produced 90 mph which was a comfortable cruising speed. It could do 90 mph in second gear! I consider it to be probably the world's greatest sports car. Others might argue the point, but that's my humble opinion.

Hi Sue! Flying home today. My son and his family also live in Ft. Worth. What a small world!
I'm so happy to hear your husband has recovered from the infection and the healing process has begun.
I haven't forgotten your questions about our Egypt trip. I'll give you the information when I get home and things aren't quite so hectic. There are advantages to being old(er) and not having kids to transport around all day! With all the activities they are involved in, we were in constant motion! I have to get home and get some rest!

Hi, Sue -- just dropping by to see whether the storms had given you a bad hair day or anything. I lost my cable modem during one of two power surges -- I was attempting to log off. Oh, well, as you can see, I am back in business. It's been a rough cold turkey day, though. Trust that Harry (right?) is still doing mo bettah!

Hello Sue - Thank you for stopping by! It is so good to be home. How is the weather down your way? It looks like you have had one storm after another. Do you have a "Tornado" room in your house? My brother lived in Oklahoma about 25 years ago. They had a room in the middle of their house that was reinforced.

The Hummingbird feeder is out and waiting! The lime green in the Spring is so pretty after looking at snow all Winter! Our trees are all budded ready for the leaves to open!

I am a little tired, but not bad. I hope to get some pictures posted today of our SA meeting. We had so much fun that day! Carol, Kathy and Karen are wonderful people!

Thanks again for your visit, Sue.

Hi Sue.
for dropping by on my birthday.
This was my first 'Sudoku' birthday and I've enjoyed all the visits immensely.
I must stop getting sidetracked looked at photos on every page I visit....I will never get around. I also think Standing Bear is rather magnificant.

Did you take all your flower pictures?
I LOVE bearded iris...reminds me..have some sitting outside that need to go in the ground tomorrow.

We have finally been getting some autumn rains down here and hopefully I'll be able to get my garden tidied up ready for overwinter and maybe even get some bulbs in ready for spring. They need to be in by the end of May so I really need to pull my finger out!!
Bye for now.

And maybe one day I'll get the umph to really, truly catch up!

take care,
an old friend

Thanks for the good wishes on Nora Hope's birth. Nora and big brother Payton and mommy and daddy are well. I'm still with my daughter and family in Cincinnati, Ohio, doing gramma duties and becoming quite tired myself! It's a good tired, however! I'm hoping to be able to go home tomorrow (Wednesday 5/14) and then I can play sudoku again!

Back from the doctors, update on Harry's toe. The top of the toe has completely peeled and there is new skin. The ulcer on the bottom is filling in & nicely, still has quiet away to go. Changed the type of medicine for the ulcer, this one is suppose to help to heal from the inside out. Good news is we don't have to go back for three week.

Sue, glad to hear that Harry is doing better! You must be so sick of drs. & dr. appts.
Wonder how much the China tours will be altered by the recent earthquake. So glad we didn't end up going, aren't you!! Take care & enjoy your son's graduation on the 17th. Hope he'll be able to find a good job somewhere.

Dear Sue,
Thank you for your support while I have been ill. I never expected such a response from this site, everyone’s concern and caring has overwhelmed me. I can only say that it is the genuine people here who make this a very unique place to share our hopes, dreams, ups and downs. So thank you for being there.

It's so hard to pick where we want to go. I have it in my head that I'd like to get to all seven continents before I die. That narrows it down to Africa & Antarctica. We think Aug.- Oct. would be best for timing to see the wildebeest migration in Tanzania, but our calendar is too full already for those months this year. Best timing for Ant. is Dec. or Jan., equally not such a good travel time for us. Still pondering other possibilities.

I've never heard of an Indigo Bunting! Very pretty. We do have a lot small honey eaters and insect eaters as well, but no Buntings. I'm actually trying to identify one I took a photo of in my parent's garden in Dubbo on the weekend. I missed the fact that your husband had problems with his toe, but I very glad to hear it's improving now!
