Apologise for using identifiable remarks about your 'old home' - would never have done so before you had sold it / moved out. It is far too easy to be tracked down - we just never know who is reading what we post. I'm quite sure that you / Liz prob knew or know some of my family - I'm from a big family. My brother went back up to Deni to live and work about 17 years ago and returned to Melbourne [sometime in the last decade] when Deni High didn't meet his kids educational needs. My sister lived up there for many, many years and now lives in Swan Hill and I have a LOT of cousins up there. Mums family [aunts and uncles] had a lot of property up there - when we moved to Deni in '64 we were living at Mayrung on an aunts farm until we sorted ourselves out. Most of my mums cousins,uncles and aunts are now now deceased but there are still a heap of my gen that haven't been forced off the land. As for myself I moved out in '72 but have been a frequent visitor to Deni. I wonder if you'll be able to make anything of all this info?

Tree Sheila - What a day to feel re-born: Easter. It took me over 6 weeks to unpack (what I have unpacked) that was nearly 2 years ago. Don't try to do to much to fast. Enjoy your knew digs (an Americanism for new home). Glad to see you posting again. Hugh from Canberra is now back as Peter from 42° S.

Was worried that the heat and the move had got to you..it is such a big job. Take time to sit back and listen to the rustle of the leaves as the wind slips by ...enjoy a well earned rest, a sense of peace and homecoming in your new abode. Glad you have no regrets - it is such a big decision.

This is my dear, beloved and long departed grandmothers birthday [she died 36 years ago]. I always remember my BIL's birthday because he also shares her day and like it or not I am destined to remember yours now for the same reason.
