What nice messages from you. We live in the coast range at elevation 1300 feet. Some years we get no snow, other years we may get a day or two of snow that melts rather quickly. This morning's snow is already gone, washed away when it turned to rain.
Yes, I too love his voice. In the recommended songs that pop up after that song is over, I think White Sandy Beach is his most beautiful song. His most famous song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I'll bet you've heard his version before.

Shiela, mum underprices the ones she wants to sell too. She sells her acrylic paintings for $2-300 and her oils for a bit more. She put one of her oils in the gallery with $1000 on it because she felt it had turned out exactly as she had wanted and imagined and she didn't want it to sell. On the first day someone was asking about it so she sped down and took it home! The 'gallery' is a small one in a tiny country town that is on the way to much bigger towns.

Shiela, I loved the story about the postcard sized painting - and CONGRATULATIONS on your wins! I've seen some of your paintings and I think you would have won regardless of the size of the competition.

Mum's all embarrassed and cuffudled today. The local school is very isolated and so gets government grants to ensure the kids get the same sorts of opportunities as 'city' schools. They have been given some money to make a 3 minute video about something in their town and they have chosen a local artist - Mum!! She can't work out what the fuss is all about...

Sheila, thank you so much for celebrating my birthday with me last week, I had so much fun reading all the posts.
The family went out to dinner that night, then the next day we had yet another party for my youngest daughter's 16th. I then had the pleasure of a lunch on Sunday with some of our Sudoku family who spoiled me wonderfully.
It doesn't get much better than that!

Sorry, I can't believe I did that after making such a point of not misspelling your name, that is exactly what I did!
