Your picture of the Saguaro reminded me of the fist time I was in Tucson. We visited the Botanical Gardens and I was very excited to see my first Saguaro Cactus. I was so amazed at the size and age! I took photo after photo because I was sure I'd never see anything like it again. My husband laughingly told me to look at the little plaque at the bottom of the cactus.
It said "NOT AN ENDANGERED SPECIES". Later, when we drove to the Grand Canyon, I knew how true that was! They are NOT in short supply! (this is what comes of being born and raised on the East Coast!)

A very to you Dave! Hope your day is filled with happy surprises!
Mine's the day before yours...the 25th....
Did you see me high in the bleachers on the 1st turn at Indy? I guess Scott Dixon had the pole position for a good reason! Pole position holders don't often win, though, it seems. But a good day for the race... no rain & nice temperatures! Much better than the year the tornado went though about a mile away while we were all still in the stands! Yikes!
(What a birthday party for me, huh?) But I coulda done without the drunk guy who fell down & landed on my feet as I left the race!

Thanks for the trip through the Panama Canal, Dave. It was awesome! I've been through small locks but never like that. My dad was posted to England for 2 years in the late 60's. When went over & back by boat but had to go via South Africa because the Suez canal was closed!

Hi Dave!
Photobucket has a collection of Calvin and Hobbes (www.Photobucket.com) That's where I found the ones I'm using. Go to the web site, click on 'images' and 'search' for Calvin and Hobbes. I didn't find one with them in the rain, but I didn't go through all of them. You may certainly use anything I have!

Dave, may I please pass on my hubby's thanks for wishing him a . He certainly is my Numero Uno. It has taken me this long to get here because we celebrated it over three days and I have really only touched down to earth again...just in time for my oldest daughter's 21st next week!
Never a dull moment!

Missed you around here. Hope you have had a wonderful summer. Have you spent any time in So. Oregon? It is beautiful out - clear - but I smell fire again. Had a great summer at Britt - only working 5 more concerts this season.

No, there are two guys near the first bike in a bit of a huddle. I am the other side of the pole.
Most are Harleys, a couple of Triumphs. Mine is a Suzuki Velusia, but I am thinking seriously about trading it is on a Boulavard (1800).

Hi Dave! Got to thinking I haven't seen any posts from you on Easy in a long time. Maybe you are doing more lurking than posting lately. I know I am. I see Keith has already been here to let you know about the Nov. SA meeting. I would love to have a chance to meet you & Linda if the timing happens to be right for you to visit San Francisco that weekend. Hope you are well & happy. Hard to believe the summer is almost over already. Take care & stay safe.

Hi Dave, I think you are probably correct about the Boulevard. That enormously wide rear tyre would make the handling of it a little tricky. Go like hell in a straght line, but corneing might get exciting. I am now looking at the equivalent 1800 Honda. Not sure what it's title is, but they do appeal to me. Not the Goldwing.

Dave, re your comment on today's Easy. I'm fascinated, too. It truly is a "small world." Didn't know it froze over. Let's say that I wouldn't want to walk over the frozen sea in those straights! Yet, years ago when the sea level was lower many men and animals crossed a land bridge there.

If you like "mind bending" and consider yourself open minded, you may wish to read the book "An Ice Age Caused by Noah's Flood," available here:

https://store.creationontheweb.com/us/product_info.php?products_id=37&osCsid=9071a5470f 5c9720d6c2ba831952fce1

It uses commonly recognized scientific facts but connect the dots differently -- and some would say successfully, something that other ice age models to date haven't done.

Awesome YouTube about the flag at the air show. The words "gallantly streaming" stood out like never before because of the skydiving. I slightly cringed to think of such a magnificent act ending with the flag hitting the ground (as it must but shouldn't). Then I was SO impressed with the pinpoint landing and the large number of flag handlers ready on the ground who respectfully recovered the flag. Thanks for posting the video on your page (even though it isn't a tribute to Elvis, as advertised. )
