Greetings to you, Dave. I was just wondering how you can be from both Oregon and Arizona? Unless you're one of the lucky ones who is able to spend the winter months in the warmer climes?

I love your sunset picture. We have great sunsets in Johannesburg too - you should come and visit here sometime.

Marilyn ... I would love to visit South Africa sometime, I have heard it is very beautiful. Our first trip has to be to Italy since my wife is of Italian decent.
Yes, we winter in Southwest Arizona where the winter temps are around 65 to 70F (18-21C) and the sun shines 90% of the time. We are very fortunate to be able to live this lifestyle.

Thanks for your lovely birthday wishes, Dave. We spent yesterday kayaking a lake for three hours ... what I chose over dinner or candy! Gotta love the weather where we are, eh?

Dave - Newt is a historian. As it is said, those who do not know & learn from history are bound to repeat the mistakes of the past.

He may be "brilliant" but could not govern/lead (even within his own party) - he is an "idea" person. His follow through was a problem.

I hope that you also watched clips 8 & 9.

I find clip #3 interesting - maybe that is something he learned by being in charge of the first Republican House in 40 years.

On page 25 of Open Fourm Discussion (my 3 posts with a pie) contain a portion of a document I wrote, and gave to both Gordon Smith & Greg Walden at the Dorchester Convention in Seaside earlier this month.

Also, I asked Bill Kristol, at the convention, why if over 80% of Americans do not want Amnesty for illegal immigrants that none of those still left in the presidential race, favor what is considered Amnesty. His answer - "it must not be that important of an issue".

Hi Dave, I lived in California from 1978 to 1982 but not in Morrow Bay, we lived at Pt Mugu, hubby was Navy. Hubby grew up in Ontario and his family still lives around there.
We spent 6 months in Morro Bay in 2000 Harry became a baker and I worked in the front. Harry's (hubby) brother owned the bakery Sun n Buns in Morro Bay. SIL and nephew have run the bakery since his brother died. Actually heard from FIL that SIL is finally selling the bakery.
Enjoy your stay in CA and have a safe trip back to OR.

Hi Dave, not sure if it is my first time here. I remember seing some of your pictures but the trail in the rocks was new to me. Enjoyed all of it very much and Tiger Wood's art. Here many maple trees are tapped to produce maple syrup, we are in that season right now. I brought you a full gallon of it and it sells right now for about $40.00 Canadian.

Hi Dave,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the uTube selection. I have not been keeping up with American Idol. He can really sing and even at this young age he comes across as so serene, genuine and sincere. We will be seeing him in years to come, he has too much talent to waste. Thanks again, that song is beautiful and one that I cannot remember hearing before.

I hope you are having a fabulous day!
Aimee :-)

I called Britt and asked if they have all the TBAs filled yet. Then suggested her for as an opener. I told Vicki that she would be a much better opener for Earth Wind & Fire than the last one they had. You may remember that Britt had to run a full page apology in the Mail Tribune for their opener last time EWF was here when they had the most obscene comedian as an opener. There are other TBAs for the likes of LeAnn Rimes, Lyle Lovett, Clint Black, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, and others.

Ah, Dave, you got both the number of the Interstate AND the distance wrong. 425 miles across Kansas. And it's not as flat as I80 in Nebraska!
