HI Gail, thanks so much for your thoughts-- it is going pretty well. My Mom is just sore and not moving too well. She is also having a large amount of drainage at her surgical site so we are doing lots of dressing changes that I had not counted on!! Between that and making meals and doing laundry and making sure that my Dad is learning how to help my Mom with her shower and compression stockings I haven't had time to get into too much trouble!! I do appreciate the thoughts....talk to you soon

Hi Gail, Thanx for dropping by the other day. Yes I still do the puzzles. They are supposed to stop me getting alzheimers, which they may do, but I'm sure I'll find other ways to go batty. Meanwhile I'm playing my banjo and working hard at my computer business.

Bali was lovely. Did very little, except drink (lots), eat, read, swim, have massages ... you get the picture. Managed to read 5 books in the 2 weeks. It's the only time I seem to these days. Oh well only 48 weeks and I'll be heading back!! (Unless my son decides to get married in July of course)

Hi Gail! I don't have any one site I use for my smilies. I usually Google what I'm looking for. For example, I put "good morning image" in the search and wade through the sites that come up. Or, I Google "good morning clip art". There are a lot of clip art sites. Beware! It can be habit forming! I have wasted DAYS!

Thanks Gail! That bird, I think it was a Emu, was pretty wild. It came over my car window after apparently seeing it down and figuring I would give it a treat. I was not planning on breaking more than one rule in the park so it was out of luck. It stood outside my window for the longest time staring at me through the glass. It was pretty funny.

thanks for the house comment. i must defend myself though. i am embarassed about the size of it. however, here in bountiful, utah a 9000 sq.ft. home is not uncommon. this is 5000 and is considered a mid size home. i kid you not!! as an obsessive house cleaner i do my own cleaning and am dreading vacuuming that thing everyday!! on the plus side i might get skinny doing all that work.

Gail.. Thanks for the comment on "Whale" (his breeder in Thailand named him that). I got a good look at his competition yesterday. There's only the question as to which of my 2 gets first, and which gets second in the "Bettas" category. People with other species told me that these 2 are major competitors for Best In Show! I hope they weren't just being nice to me when they said that! I've never shown fish before this.

Thank you for taking a moment and sending birthday wishes. It was a great celebration. My mom really enjoyed seeing her relatives for a joyful reason for a change (usually we see each other at funerals unforunately). The men on either side of my Aunt are my mom's younger brothers, so it was quite the family affair for her!

A sad note to all this is that his wife is bi-polar and does not function well. He pretty much took care of her. Fortunately, they didn't have kids...just dogs. She is going to keep 2 of them and his partner on the rescue squad is taking the other 2 bigger dogs and finding them a good home together.
