Hi Gail - Thank you! I have it copied down. I don't believe they sell gem irons around here, but I do have muffin pans. Thanks for taking the time to post the recipe. I appreciate it!

Hi Gail, thanks for your visit-- ahh yes the joys of replacing a car. It wasn't completely unexpected-- we had anticipated replacing my husband's car in about 6 mos. so we had started looking casually. On Saturday our son took his car in for an oil change and there was about $1200 worth of repairs needed for it to be safe!! That is actually more than the car is worth so we decided to make our purchase sooner and give the old van (that Dad was driving) to our son. At least now he knows he will have to replace it within a year or so-- but he has a little time so save some money-- which may be a challenge with starting graduate school in the fall-- but he is getting to be a big boy so he will need to figure that out! The gas mileage piece is also a huge consideration-- I am not sure what you are paying, but here it is about $4.10/galUS-- I don't think I ever imagined I would pay that much for fuel and I certainly don't think it will get any cheaper!! I wish I was an engineer-- then maybe I could figure out some solar powered engine or something like that :) Anyway thanks for your concern and interest-- talk with you soon, sue

Gail... that Betta sounds like it's having water quality issues. What sized tank is it in? and how often do you change the water? A single Betta should have at least a gallon container which should have a complete water change weekly. Any smaller sized container requires more frequent changes, sometimes as frequently as every day. And the water needs to have all chemicals removed, unless you have well water.

Bettas live from 2 to 5 years. 5 is rare. Most Bettas purchased in Pet Shops are already a year old, and the tiny containers that they're kept in there really shorten their life spans. Bettas purchased from breeders are usually sold at 3 1/2 months, and have had better early care.

Gail, Thank you for the wish for my in-laws. I will pass on the wishes. My husband and I are amazed that both sets of parents are still alive and married (to each other). My parents celebrated their 50th last October. We have 14 1/2 done and 35 1/2 to go.

Battas can be temperamental Have you tried feeding it live food? If it won't eat live food than I guess it's on it's last legs. Have you ever put your finger in the tank and let it take food from under your finger nail? I used to feed mine that way. I also used a mirror once in a while to excite him.

Hiya, thanks for dropping by. Yes patient is much better thanks to little white pills (anti-bi's!), ctually seemed almost 100% after just one day of them, which was a blessing :)
The Little Man is being v sweet lately, porb largely due to good weather and lots of garden time.

Thanks Gail for popping by and pointing out Torias Pic (June 27) on my page. We are both doing well, looking to be moving house in about 2 or 3 weeks. New beginnings and all that :-) (New partner, new house, new patter of tiny feet....) THEN we can hopefully save some pennies and get a new computer installed :-) so I can get online more often. Only happened to pop along today as I was having a quiet 5 minutes. Miss my sudoku pals a lot, so looking forward to being back soon... xx

I'll try to have a good time!! It'll be tough, you know, warm weather, not having to do anything but read and sit by the pool and of course drink lots. It's tough, but someone's got to do it.

Oh Gail, I was just wondering if the majority of the world population drives on the left side like us or on the right like you, England, and Japan. Whew! Already looks like you guys are winning! But hey, notice the rental car is bright red! Kind of like me, flashy!

Gail, you are so caring & understanding. I think some of us may empathize with Mamacita more than others. But I know she has a strong religious faith & has a big family to lend support during her grieving, so I'm sure she will stay strong. Still it has to be SO hard to say goodbye to someone she's been with for so long.

Hi Gail - I just wanted to stop and say "hello." I have been weeding in my garden today. I have two "brown" thumbs, but I try! I picked some radishes and my tomatoes plants have blossoms! My corn looks puny, but it is still early......
I hope you are having a pleasant winter. Do you need your heat on everyday? Have a great day.
