Shosho, I just had to whip over here to see that you're ok. How frightening for you. I know what its like with chest pains...do I make a fuss, is this the one or is it just heartburn again!
Always make a fuss with chest pains.

shosho, a day in jammies does us good on occasion! The things we need to do does get in the way of the things we want to do. Not fair is it?

Did the doc say what might have caused the chest pain? there are a few things that come to mind. but always good to let the doc say you are OK and not having a heart attack, you know.

Shosho, Thank you for your kind words. We don't have either mothers live with us but my MIL lives 10 mins away in an aged care facility. We are there for her when she calls, to take her shopping or the bank. We are the ones who visit her in hospital etc. It is the cold indifference of my hubby's sister to his mother that is so hard to take.
I am glad to hear that you are OK after suffering with chest pains. Keep Well.

Shosho, thanks for the positive thoughts about visiting places around the world. Unfortunately it takes MONEY as well as time! It'll take a while to get that part worked out!! D@#$ these time changes, it's after midnight and I should be in bed, but here I am typing away on the computer. Anyway take care of yourself, get lots of rest. I was having some sort of chest pains a year ago, sort of lung/chest and the doctor seemed to "guess" that it was heartburn. So that's what we treated and it went away. Let's hope your docs know what they are doing.

Hi shosho, sorry I haven't been to see you for a while. Another BIL's not been well but we fond out today it's not as bad as it could have been. I wanted to say something to you but I felt that I only seemed to contact you when I had a problem so that didn't seem fair! I felt even worse today when I read you'd had chest pain. I'm glad it wasn't a heart attack. But as everyone says it's better to check, any chest pain is a worry!

Yes, Shosho, the Loxahatchee National Wild and Scenic River is in Florida. The LNWSR is the only river in the entire state of Florida to gain "National Wild and Scenic" designation. The canoe trip down it from Riverbend Park in Jupiter, Florida to Jonathan Dickinson State Park took a little less than 5 hours. It was simple canoeing, with no rapids at all. But there are a lot of 'switchbacks' and it took some doing at times to figure out where the "river" was going though the swamp. In the upper reaches the stream is very 'swampy' with lots of swamp trees like baldcypress and tupelo; and of course the obligitory alligators. It suddenly widens and moves through mangroves the last 1/3 of the trip. Osprey nest and fish as you glide by!
I think I read you are an educator. This pamphlet from the National Sea Grant Library (our tax dollars at work lol)has an amazing amount of information. I say 'amazing' because I was amazed to see my home in the aerial photo of the river:

http://nsgl.gso.uri.edu/flsgp/flsgph06001.pdf

When printed out at 1:1 it is impossible to read, but being pdf you can zoom up on it and learn an entire week's lessons about the Loxahatchee. The map on first page lower right hand corner shows which portion of the river is designated "Wild and Scenic." My friend and I did not see one other human in three hours on this magnificent natural waterway! Enjoy!

Shosho...Girl...you are something else, not naughty at all...I like your style and the men you see as gorgeous ....lol! However, If you were 20 years younger, George Benson would be too old for you...not that he'd complain even today! Its fun reading many of your comments. Today while visiting CP's page, I came across a jewel you'd written about an old couple making love and becoming involved with an electric fence..It kept me laughing, especially after checking out the easy page ....Love the wit on site and you bring a lot to the table with your bubbly self!

Hi Shosho, I did a silly thing yesterday. I went to answer your note to me and when I reread it I typed the answer on my page instead of your page. Sorry about that. As I am not very good at cut and paste could you please read my answer on my page.
I have had another day looking after my grandaughter as her mother is marking HSC (Higher School Certificate) papers. The final school exam and university entrance. My grandaughter is generally no problem but today she got into the laundry and spread laundry powder everwhere!!!! Tonight I am rather tired!!
I had three children under 4 years but that was almost 40 years ago and I was much younger and fitter!

Hi Shosho! I went back to early comments on your page to try to figure out how old Brandon is now. See that I dated my comment on 2/25 back before Gath started including dates automatically. So maybe your grandson was born in Jan. or Feb.? I know you must miss him so now that he lives far away in NC (guess we'll both have to watch that that is not interpreted as the Naughty Corner!!). I used to babysit quite often for my first grandson Caleb before HE moved to NC so I think I know how you feel. Is your son still overseas? How is your DIL coping? I can also understand how SHE feels as a lonely military wife, especially during the holidays. I hope she has a good support system around her. On Thanksgiving I will remember & be thankful for the sacrifices all our military families make in the service of our country.

Hello ShoSho - Your comment about "hiding things in the closet at the last minute brought a smile to my face! I had a Jewelry party several months ago and the same thing happened here. (My grown daughters helped.) Someone stuffed my son's lunchbox in the front closet under the coats. He had been looking for it, but didn't say a word. (He thought he had lost it.) Anyway we found it about a month ago as the weather started to cool off and we needed winter coats!

I am having 10 people here for Thanksgiving. (My children, spouses and a friend.) They are predicting the rain to change to snow tonight? We may have a "White" Thanksgiving.

I would like to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. I have left you a bouquet of Fall colored flowers on your table.

Hi Shosho, and thanks for making an appearance at the party, and for your treats to honour your in-laws. So glad you could make it. We've only got my mother-in-law left, and she's in a nursing home with Alzheimer's ...
I wish you and your loved ones a most happy Thanksgiving--may it be filled with laughter and good cheer.
