for your kind words regarding my mom. Everyone is puzzled as to how this could have happened, but I'm glad we are able to move forward to deal with it (everyone was waiting for Ortho to take action, it took awhile for the CAT scan to get to them, etc). Love that "Mutts" hug!

Hi Mary! We have a Mr. and Mrs. Woodpecker that comes regularly. We actually have two different kinds of Woodpeckers. We have to keep a close eye on them because they like our house!

I have a snow crab tree and another blooming tree in my front yard, but they aren't any where near blosooming yet. They are barely starting to grow leaves. My husband trimmed them way back early this spring. One was broken badly by heavy, wet snow early in the winter and a large limb fell off, so he decided to trim them both back. They usually blossom out about the first of June.

By the way, I saw my first hummer of the season yesterday.

Hi Mary, so sorry to have taken so long to get here with thanks for my birthday wishes so long ago!
It was certainly birthday week in our family too. We drove to Adelaide the weekend before to celebrate my father's 80th, then the evening before mine, my son and his girlfriend came over for a combined dinner for me and my daughter, whose birthday is the day after mine!
As to the weather on my birthday, it rained, it always rains on my birthday! But this year I was quite pleased, as we are in the middle of a twelve year drought! I reckon it was a present.

Mary, you have been on my mind all day, wonder if this is why?
I know you wish your Mom to be with you, but knowing she is with your Dad and is happy, hopefully will give you some comfort. Sounds like she was preparing in a small way. My grandmother recently did the same thing. Two weeks before, she started preparing to leave us, packed some of her belongings, gave gifts and said her goodbyes. The day before, she did dishes and cleaned her bathroom. Amazing woman. I hope you find the peace you need and know that your mother is well taken care of now. Lots of thoughts and hugs for you.
