Welcome to my page

This is a picture of the Naperville Riverwalk in the fall of 2008 on a early Sunday morning. I love to walk along the Dupage River early morning and even in the Winter. Just up around the bend is a bridge with rapids running underneath it - you can listen to the water - very nice.

Mymare, you haven't said anything about the circumstances, but remember that there is never a good time for that to happen, but there may be a right time.

And she has doubtless hummed "Somewhere My Love" from Dr. Zhivago over the years. Now there can be a duet.

I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing, Mary. It is always hard to lose a loved one but most particularly one's mother. My mom died 11 years ago at age 90, and while she certainly lived a long and full life, I still miss her and somehow feel (unrationally I realize)that she was taken from me much too soon. I hope that you, like I, have a lifetime of happy memories to cherish. ♥ Jane

Mary, I was so sorry to read of your Mum's passing. There is a special magic about Mums, a warmth and a love that can never be replaced. But now she can join your Dad and enjoy their dreams together.

Mary, I am thinking of you at this time. My mum did a similar thing. She always said during her life how she would hate to die with her affairs in disarray. Love and hugs.

I am sorry only to realise so late that your mum has passed away. It is very sad, and I do feel for you. Such bereavement is very painful and my prayers are with you. It is necessary to be sad and to mourn, but equally you should also look ahead into your own future to help your recovery. God bless!

Mary:
A SAD SEPARATION

Without your vibrant presence, there's no purpose left to life;
and I feel exposed to dangers in a course that's full of strife.
The cold outside had reached within: I retreat to my warm bed -
to think about you constantly, and the good things you have said.
Now I drive away my bitterness and suppress potential tears,
for hope remains within me that tempers my worst fears.
Over life we rode on stormy seas that shook a sturdy keel:
now with danger of destruction, before your heart I kneel.
In my prayer our ship still rides gales ripping through its sails.
Its mast is sound; its wheel is firm; let's hope that it prevails.
My duvet, gathered in my arms, is enlivened by your soul:
it's warm for sure, but fails response, so your absence takes its toll.
Some would say my heart now bleeds, I grieve for you so much:
for I loved your humour, face and voice; and the magic of your touch.

Mary, thank you so much for the birthday greeting you left on my page. Being remembered by so many has added much to my 2 day celebration here in Sudokuland.

I just noticed from messages to you above that you recently lost your Mom. Heart felt sympathies to you and your family. My mother passed away 4 years ago today, so I know how sad you must be. I found talking to my Mom helped me get past the first few months. I would get up every morning and say a good morning to her. I like to think she heard me.

Hi Mary, thank you for your birthday greetings, it was very thoughtful of you.
I have only once ridden in a hot air balloon and that was when my kids gave me the ride as a present for my 70th birthday. It was great fun.
