Hi again Eve. Bo Diddly's death reached all the way here to Australia other than from you, he was remembered on the ABC news this evening with praises, sorrow & video clips. So, obviously I'm not the only Australian who enjoyed his music! Thanks again for the information!

I've just re read my prior comment & it sounds like I thought Bo was playing at the Britt Festival. I know the concert was Crosby, Stills & Nash without Young. But Bo Diddly IS still awesome!!!!

Your duck is not a thoroubred mallard. He is the product of dis-simular water foul. More than likely a wild duck with a domesticated one.

A true mallard has a much more brilliant bottle green head with a white ring around its neck.

In our small town, there is a large park populated by ducks and geese. It is not uncommon to see these hybrid ducks and as often as not, the little top knot. I've never seen the top knot on wild ducks, but occasionally on domestics.

Hi Eve, Sorry, I didn't think about the supporting membership and use of personal smilies. I wasn't crazy about using PayPal either. My husband suggested that I only use it for this site and just keep a small amount of money there. It's taken out automatically, but if there is a problem, I'm not out much. It's worked well, so far. I asked some people on the site how to do it. If I can do it, believe me, anyone can!

There is something askew with having a good memory and being old enough to remember all that old crap we grew up with. I met a very nice fellow on the golf course this afternoon and I'm damned if I can remember his name. Go figure....

Thanks for the visit & it is a rather nice kitty isn't it! I usually put the TV on about 4.30 because that's when I start the evening ritual in the kitchen & the TV is background sound! I looked up pretty quickly from what I was doing when I heard "Molly" & "horse" so I saw practically the whole story as you'd written it! Wonderful!

OK - Now that you've made your choice, this is what the researchers say about you...

SCROLL DOWN

No Cheating/No Changing

Are you Ready -

1. ANGEL FOOD CAKE....................

Sweet, loving, cuddly: You love all warm and fuzzy items.

A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day.

Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times.

2. BROWNIES.........................

You are adventurous, love new ideas, and are a champion of the underdogs and a slayer of dragons.

When tempers flare up you whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction.

You tend to be very loyal.

3. LEMON MERINGUE.........................

Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an excellent caregiver and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time.

A bit of a diva at times, you set your own style because you do your own thing.

You shine when it comes to helping others and have many friends.

4. VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING............

Fun-loving, sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lacking motivation.

Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker.

Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

5. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE................

Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in return. Intuitively keen.

You can be very emotional at times but a true person in every way. You like to do things for yourself and help others learn about themselves.

6. CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING

Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate.

You can appear to have a cold exterior, but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances.

Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.

7. ICE CREAM......................

You like sports, whether it be baseball, football, basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you enjoy watching sports.

You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.

8. CARROT CAKE...........................

You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you.

You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends.

You were meant to lead and teach others: A wonderful role model.

SEND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.

PUT YOUR CHOICE OF DESSERT IN SUBJECT BOX [no cheating].

What a fun personality test! I am a carrot-caker! Of course all the desserts describe us in complimentary terms and I would eat any of them or all of them any time!

I wrote to my good friend who lives in Ashland. He thinks the lady is a kook as well as the city councilman you mentioned, but the biased slant you used to represent the town is not the reality. If you want to focus on a couple of kooks and imply the whole town is like that, I guess you have the right to do so, but, in my opinion, it is a very unfair representation of a lovely community.

Yes, Eve, I will give them a big Bruin hug for you! All this is so serendipitous! I wasn't planning to go south, really I was going to go north to Washington, DC but life got in the way! I'm flexible and willing to go whatever way life presents an adventure. I will travel northward too because I would like to see the first American city I saw after leaving Japan. And my hubby would like to see the old towns that he grew up in. Soooo I will eventually go your way!

Hi Eve thanks for the information on the britt concerts is the music more country & western than rock & pop?
Here in the uk there are many concerts going on at this time of year, tonight in Hyde park London there is a big concert for the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela top of the bill is Queen, sorry i dont know who is the stand in for Freddy Mercurry.
The other big concert on at the moment is at Glastonbury this is held in some farmers field, lots of top bands on spread out over two weeks amunge them is Amy Whitehouse.
