Eve, we always use a clothes line (we have a second one under the verandah in case of wet weather) and only use the dryer to "finish off" if the weather is humid and the clothes don't fully dry out on the line.

One of our nieces makes quilts - she is only 2 years younger than me and has just been for a visit with her children. I admire anyone who plays with this craft - quilts are so colourful and expressive. I wish I had time to try it. I'm sure your mum love the present. How's your back?

Eve, Thx for the pie. Strawberry is a favorite. My mom used to do quilts. Yours are lovely. BTW, Washougal is a bedroom community NE of Portland. I do very little online communicating. No time. I do however try to find time for my daily "Sudoku Fix".

Hi Eve,
This is Anew from Utah, and I just wanted to say hello, and that I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to your posts you've left over the last year.
Hope all is well with you!
Because there are so many people onsite, I likely won't go back any time soon to everyones old pages or the archives, so I'll keep intouch from here on out, if you'd like :)
And maybe one day I'll get the umph to really, truly catch up!

take care,
an old friend

Thanks for the good wishes on Nora Hope's birth. Nora and big brother Payton and mommy and daddy are well. I'm still with my daughter and family in Cincinnati, Ohio, doing gramma duties and becoming quite tired myself! It's a good tired, however! I'm hoping to be able to go home tomorrow (Wednesday 5/14) and then I can play sudoku again!

Dear Eve,
Thank you for your support while I have been ill. I never expected such a response from this site, everyone’s concern and caring has overwhelmed me. I can only say that it is the genuine people here who make this a very unique place to share our hopes, dreams, ups and downs. So thank you for being there.

Eve, thanks so much for the story about Molly, especially after the recent tragedy of Eight Belles at the Derby ... it's wonderful to learn about people who truly care for animals and are willing to return the unconditional love they give to us.

Eve...It seems you bring so many good things to this site...I'm so happy to have Molly's story out there. Wouldn't it be nice if more people started to think of the many good ways we could affect this world simply by sharing good news....? Wow! Wouldn't that be something?
You also addressed a personal need that I feel...being involved in Angelique's life...Sully and I have both spoken about that need...we too feel it's true. FYI, Reina will be moving East so that it will become possible...not sure when it will happen, just that it will, and for the important reason of family unity and support! Meanwhile, they will be here in August, since my daughter will again try to find happiness with a fine young man and will be getting married...hopefully for the last time!!!I do wish you could be here....you just seem to fit!

Thank you Eve for making my birthday a special one.
Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Eve, I commend you for such a wonderful patriotic attitude. You are an example of what we should be. But just for myself, I am afraid to think of it. I am scared for my son going in July to Iraq. I shall sequester myself from the news in all forms until he comes home. I will try not to think of our country plunged into war. I am like a scared little bunny immured in the burrows for real and imagined dangers. It's the only way I can cope.

Oh my gosh!!!! I had about 22 messages in my inbox today just from Sudoku friends wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'! Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and wishes especially when I haven't been around for so long. It has been a wonderful day and a lovely weekend. Rick and I went away to a romantic chalet at Springbrook with an open fireplace and we went bushwalking etc. I have uploaded a photo of Kiarah and some others onto 'my page'. Photos taken 26th May 2008. Kiarah is just about 18 months old now and still gorgeous hahaha....

Eve, There are many reasons to say but today I'm trying to be succinct, so I'll confine it to the birthday wishes and always being there to remember special occasions. One always enjoys being remembered, and the Sudoku folks made sure that I was well remembered. A good day became a marvelous day because of folks like you....soooooo ( wouldn't you know it....can't get to my smilies...so) Many Thanks!

Hi, Eve - I talked to my tech guy, and unfortunately, it sounds like you were given correct information. He doesn't recommend anyone spending big bucks to recover data unless it's absolutely critical. Sorry! I hope you were able to save your most important stuff.

How did you score: Post your # correct & then multiply # correct by 2 & divide by your age express as a percent.

Example: if your age is 65 & you get 25 correct answers your post would be: 25/77%
25*3=75 75/65=1.1538 or 115%

If you are 30 and got 30 correct: 30/300% (you probably cheated). Over 90 and you will always be less than 100%
