The Hallelujah Chorus was simply awe inspiring...thanks for that too.

Thank you for your wishes, Eve. I had only a part of my family for Easter, my elder son and his children can't come, but I'll have them for their next holiday in april. Enjoy a nice Easter with your family.

I had to come back to check out this video, Eve. The video graphic work was glorious...well worth seeing...but the music was a little disappointing...It just didn't offer the strong emphasis in parts that I enjoy. Mind you, not a bad rendition at all...just not the soaring that I seek in this piece. Especially after listening to the other video.
There is a male country/western singer who has recorded this and did it well, but his name doesn't come to mind. Didn't Jim Nabors also sing this? I do like hearing a great tenor sing this, but I also liked Elvis' rendition ...so many do a good job when given good material.I'd love to find Jan Pierce's Blue Bird of Happiness...my all time favorite...I still have the album, but alas, nothing to play it on. Let me know if you come across it in cd form please.
The more I learn of your background...the more I feel a closeness/ affinity to you...we do seem to have so much in common....I wonder if we will ever get to meet in person and compare notes...it would be wonderful... ah...another dream that has a viable ending.......but....

G'day Eve. Thanks for your good wishes. I am very glad to be back. I know what you mean about not unpacking in a hurry. One room in my new house is chockablock (full) of boxes of "stuff" which I plan to Go Through One Day!! I suppose I'm lucky that I can just shut the door on it.

Ah Eve, winter IS my favorite season. However, at this time of year, I just wish it was 75 and green out. After all, you can't play in the snow because it's crusty and dirty. And it's still too cold to go out and do anything.

Eve....You and Greg can always be counted on to help me with my musical searches....I was up until after 2 in the morning listening to all of the great music....I was in wonder land...Jan Peerce...Laurence Melchior..... and loving every minute...This was music that I learned to love at my father's knee...oh the wonderful memories that flooded over me...heaven...Thanks for the help.

Thanks for visiting with the Big Ugly Bunny, Eve! Superman shirt? Nah, he doesn't like to play dressup THAT much! I think the shirt is from one of the 5K races we do. I have a lot of photos I'd like to submit to the puzzles, but I won't until the repeats cease. Seems like an exercise in futility at the moment.

Love the rabbit, Eve. Fred Astaire's wonderful. That'd be so easy to do now - it'd all be done on the computer! that would have taken a lot of time & work to build! Thanks!

Thank you Eve, I am appalled at the hatred a religion can generate. The problem is that when a group rejects education, freedom, empathy for fellow human then that group resorts to violence to get its way. We as the intelligent people must reject them totally and protect ourselves.

Eve,
Thank you so much for the parentwish link, it was touching, but should come with a triple kleenex warning. It is so true. I sent it to my oldest daughter, she is only 17, but I think she will be able to appreciate it. We have an elderly aunt in a skilled nursing facility who helped to raise her along with her younger sister and several of our nieces and nephews. They don't want to visit her because of how she is now, but they need to see past that. Thanks for the reminder.

Take care and have a wonderful day,
Aimee :-)

Eve,
Thank you for sharing your story and for providing your insight. You are right about wanting to preserve our memories of loved ones and not wanting to see them how they really are. I needed that reminder, I am sure when I was younger that I was the same way. Thank you again.

Aimee

Eve, I Love Ella! It wasn't till I bought my first Ella CD (~20yrs ago!) that I realized she was the voice behind the songs in many movies & musicals - always thought they did their own singing; how naive was that!

Eve Kate's comment warms my heart..this site allows us to correct so much and give credit to the artist that is due...thanks for your expertise and willingness in spreading the talent that has produced the sounds many fell in love with....talent should be appreciated for their productions...enough of the faked stuff..Ella was the real deal...glad many now know it! Thanks for sharing your knowledge...and helping me to spread the talent around...there's a lot to be appreciated!

Eve, I appreciate your sending that comment privately! I might have taken some undue ribbing over that!! All in good fun of course. Therapy is going fairly well. I am afraid I have another joint that is going to let me know about weather changes, but it is much better than before surgery.

Eve, You are so right, you never know. Normally I'm an underdog rooter. What if Davidson had won? Memphis hasn't been to the Final Four since the 1800's. While I am happy that KU won, I would have been ok if the other scenarios had played out.

Thanks, Eve for sharing the photos. My baby sister lives in Queenstown NZ & when we visited her in Dec 1998 we were supposed to have several hours in Christchurch, before we had to drive to the West Coast. We spent these hours sitting at the airport waiting for a rental car which had been booked a few weeks before we left Australia! We met up with my sister & husband at the Fox Glacier & spent a wonderful New Years Eve camping in a paddock at the mouth of the Fox River. We didn't get back to Christchurch because we headed north & flew home from Auckland. What part on 1999 were you there? We may have passed each other somewhere without knowing!

Hi Eve, I want to thank you personally for the lovely birthday song. You have such a lovely voice! I did just join, but I have enjoyed this site for many years. Actually, my birthday isn't until November 4th. I'm not sure where Gath came up with April 10th, but it did make for a very special day. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. I believe that all things, even mistakes, happen for a reason. Thank you again for your special birthday wish. Sudokuland forever, Margot
