We just got word from Brenda that you have been in the hospital and are recovering from surgery. I hope you don't mind, but you will be finding 'private messages' and e-mails when you get home. Everyone has been so worried.
We miss your comments and poetry, and wit!
Prayers for a speedy recovery coming your way....

Ah, Ray Ray, I am soo relieved to know you are in hospital getting proper care, and improving daily. If your ears have been burning ( not that you would have noticed with all else going on with you) it is because we on SA and on EASY have been passing messages and requesting your address and hunting your phone number, trying to contact you somehow to see what was going on! You are NOT to leave again without having someone let us know, never again, we made a rule!

May you get well quickly. I may have left for my trip south, before you get back - hope you can have a merry & a little cheer for . May God bless you throughout 2009. Catch you in the new year. Did you write in poetry while riding high on pain killers? Love to read the verse about the nurse with the needle.

Were you feeling lonely at home?
Wondering how to get out?
So your body decided to roam,
And your appendix was the first to burst out?

I'm sure I don't need to explain,
That it's best to get out when intact,
Sending the appendix out first causes pain,
And I'm sure you are now aware of that.

Many folks on the site were dismayed,
When no words from you they didn't hear,
Was it just the puzzles you hadn't played?
Or was it just that you weren't in good cheer?

I'm sad that you had this surprise,
And that your appendix is now truly gone,
But I think it is safe to surmise,
You'll be better off as things go along.

Cheers, and I hope you feel better soon!

Hi there Ray Ray,
Still haven't seen you on site but hope you are recovering well.
Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas this year
for your cyber friendship.

I guess that while we swelter in Darwin you will have a cold toed Christmas. Whatever and where ever, may it be a lovely celebration for you.

Here’s the traditional
LEMON CORDIAL Just what the doctor ordered
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.25 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven) bottles
Mix it with gin and soda if you want an alcoholic drink but I prefer it just with soda.

May 2009 be a healthier, peaceful, joyful, hopeful, satisfying year for you

Happy Christmas Rayray. And for sure a healthier New Year. Hope you are filled with holiday cheer as you recover. You seem to have been inspiring the rhyming of verse by other Sudokuonian poets; and fine poems they have been, but, we are all looking forward to the full recovery of our Poet LauRAYate.

All those times you were feeling unwell led to this scare, didn't it? Well, don't do it again! When you're feeling that way, hie thee to a physician! Now that we're done with that, you've used up your quota for illness, and all you have left is good health. So enjoy 2009 with the fullness of life, health and joy, my dear friend. Remember you must be in vigor for the shock of my visit in 2012! My treat, high tea, now that I know what it is!
