Hi Cathy! Today is your REAL birthday in our North American part of the world. Hope it's a very and you get lots of , good wishes, & presents. Guess we both just have to imagine each other in our new kitchens since neither one of us has posted any pictures yet! Eric took one last night with his fancy camera with a wide angle lens. Ah, thank you!!! I had a nice surprise - my room was ready, carpet shampooed, dried, and ready to go!!! I moved the furniture to where they belong. But I still need two more tables. Due to budget cuts, I'm getting four more kids but also due to budget cuts, I don't have the tables!!!

Yes, indeed. The joys of home ownership! We started with a bedroom that had been a Pepto Bismol pink since my daughter moved out. Then I decided I couldn't stand the bathroom wallpaper another day. I will never wallpaper again. What a job getting the stuff off. I was determined to get the jobs done before my family descends for Christmas.
By the way, we once bought 2 new lamps for the living room and ended up buying all new furniture "to match", so I know exactly what you mean about the window treatments and rugs. lol
