Despite the issues you are dealing with, I hope you had/have a nice Easter. You never answered my question yesterday (maybe the day before, not sure). Have you given Gus a new coat of paint? Wasn't he brown before, or is this left over from St. Patrick's Day? I see Rosemary left tire tracks on your page as well. If you tried to follow the hunt, the Easter Bunny was on Anne's (Albany) page. Cheers, and i hope things improve for you and your MIL.

Write to me when you have a chance. I was the leading sped attorney in TX when we lived there, and had quite a horrible/wonderful (depending on your perspective) rep. Would love to chat with you when you have the opportunity, because I'm thinking of walking away from sped law and would love the perspective of a Texas teacher.

Jamie - I hope you are still doing your physical therapy. Keep it up.

I'm not saying that last sentence in view of Judy. - I'm afraid of what she might say.

Hello Jamie. I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's troubles. I hope and pray that there is a solution arrived at soon. How are you, with the problems that you have had? I don't post or read much, these days, but remember that you had a problem with your arm/shoulder. Peace and hope to you both.

Isn't it horrible when we see our parents in distress but there is nothing we can do but hope. I wish her all the best for a painfree outcome. You and she are in my thoughts.

Jamie; My thoughts and prayers going to you and your mom. Hope they find the source of her pain, at least; and, at best, can find a way to relieve the pain. Best Wishes and God Bless. to your mom.

Jamie- Well it's been a long time, and I am sorry for that. This is Anew from Utah- and I have not been on for quite some time, it looks like one of your last posts was a year ago to me, and I don't believe I responded.

I hope all is well, and hope to keep in touch from now on.
Because there are so many people onsite, I likely won't go back any time soon to everyones old pages or the archives, so I'll keep intouch from here on out, if you'd like :)
And maybe one day I'll get the umph to really, truly catch up!

take care,
an old friend

Jamie...You have been on my mind and in my heart...reading about the latest problems reminded me of a poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar which pretty well sums up my thoughts...thought I'd share it with you:Hope you enjoy it!
KEEP A-PLUGGIN' AWAY
I've a humble little motto
That is homely, though it's true,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
It's a thing when I've an object
That I always try to do,
Keep a-pluggin' away.
When you've rising storms to quell
When opposing waters swell,
It will never fail to tell,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
If the hills are high before
And the paths are hard to climb,
Keep a-pluggin' away.
And remember that successes
Come to him who bides his time,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
Erom the greatest to the least
None are from the rule released
Be thou toiler, poet, priest,
Keep a-pluggin' away.
Delve away beneath the surface,
There is treasure farther down,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
Let the rain come down in torrents,
Let the threat'ning heavens frown,
Keep a-pluggin' away.
When the clouds have rolled away,
There will come a brighter day
All your labor to repay.-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
There'll be lots of sneers to swallow,
There'll be lots of pain to bear,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
If you've got your eye on heaven,
Some bright day you'll wake up there,-
Keep a-pluggin' away.
Perserverance still is king;
Time its sure reward will bring;
Work and wait unwearying,-
Keep a-pluggin'away.

Paul Laurence Dunbar

OK, I like you... The green Gorilla is PERFECT!! It says that you are a slightly warped individualist. My kind of person.

I too will not be able to spend much time on the site. I'm a full time farmer/ cattlewoman. The animals keep me very busy. A few people have noticed that I'm trying to build my own Zoo here. I have lost count of the number of species I have. The only reason that I'm on here so much today is that it's cold and pouring out today.

Hi Jamie. It's been a while since I stopped in for a visit, so I thought it was time to say hello (and Hi to Gus too!). Hoping things are easing up a bit for you. I beat you to the retirement mode, as I formally retired April 2nd. I do hope your last year goes by quickly and you can join the club soon, as there is a lot less stress. Your school year should end soon, so you will be able to relax a little. Hope you have a great summer and I sincerely hope life's problems are few and far between. Cheers my friend!

Jamie - I love your fish! I especially would love to display it down by my pond (that doesn't have any fish - just frogs sometimes).
I'm going to try and post some pond shots in my gallery today.

Hi Jamie, thanks for your message. I shall have to read more to work out where Aggieland is! Husband John did chinook salmon breeding research here some years ago and I loved it when we had beautiful trout smoked (at a small smokery - does that sound the right way to espress it) - he was in fisheries at the time. I'm figuring out all that my new camera can do and trying to photograph sunsets etc from our views.

Hi Jamie
I am going in tomorrow to hospital.
I am having a knee arthroscopy on the left knee.
This is to see if I am a candidate for what they call a mini knee replacement.
I am too young for a full knee replacement they tell me, as apparently they only last for about 10 years.
I am 51.
It is day surgery so I should be home by tomorrow evening.
You are having the full knee replacment then?
Can I ask your age?

Oh, Jamie! Thank you, so much, for the smoked salmon! I love smoked fish, but salmon, oh yummy!!!! Years ago my husband and I went fishing with a friend on Lake Michigan for salmon. We ate salmon for breakfast, lunch and supper. (Not all in one day.) We put it in the freezer. I like it grilled, baked, fried, broiled....... I just like salmon. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Gus........ I hope you have having a great summer. Ours has been very comfortable for the most part. We have had lower temps and humidity than normal. (Kinda like it was when I was a kid.) Have a great day!

Jamie, I hope you enjoy your summer also. I get on a do the puzzles, but I usually don't post. By the time I get on it is late and nobody gets back to respond. When I can get on early I post. I enjoy the going back and forth conversation, even if it is on computer.

Hi James, glad you visited. I am one of the touring teachers. My ordained name is Tenzin Chonyi. My western name is Diana Taylor. These days I do a lot of online work with people who use our 'at home' study materials. I'm also called various names by my siblings, but I won't go into that
