60 years ago when I was at school, for a homework we were asked to write an essay 'Which is the country you would most like to visit, and why'
My essay was on New Zealand, and my reason for wanting to visit there was the beauty of its mountain scenery. Now, with your photographs, you are illustrating just that.
Strange - I have never (yet anyway) visited New Zealand. It seems that you have done the visiting for me !

Thanks Anne for the Birthday Wishes. I had an Afternoon Tea on the Sunday with Family and Close Friends ( 20 in total ). Peter had a caterer come and do the food and serve.
Before everyone came, Robert and Family were first,
Robert gave me my Mother's Day pressie from him and Stephen,
then Robert and Family gave me my birthday present,
then Robert said. oh Mum I have some good news, gave me a folded bit of paper, I unfolded... and there is 4 photos, ultrasound photos, of a new baby due end Nov.
Peter and I are sooo excited to becoming Oma and Grandy to another Grandbaby

for the birthday greetings, Anne! Had a wonderful day buying and planting flowers (it's spring, here) and finally relaxing at the end of the day with a free birthday dinner offered at a local restaurant!

Yes, Anne...I did call myself Kezza (but I wasn't sure of that until now) hehe...so my memory was correct, we did chat a little way back then :-) You have taught me something that I didn't know...that there is a member's list and that I still had my old profile...ah well, not to worry. Hi Anne, sorry for the delayed response - picked up a nasty bug which had me bedded down for more than a week. But up and better now and trying to catch up on my pages of emails.
Not sure if I will be here at that time; my hubby works long shifts in Namibia and when he gets back round 20th July he will want to go up to Knysna up the east coast. Hi Anne. How very nice of you to send your greetings this morning! Forgive me for taking so long to respond - I haven't been quite sure how to go about doing it (i.e., I hope this works!). My silence on the site all these years isn't due to timidity or having been away without leave. Rather, it's just that I generally get on the site right at midnight Melbourne time and go though the puzzles before anyone starts to comment (and of course it never occurs to me that I could fill that role). But I thank you for writing and giving me a nudge. A very large part of the charm of this site is knowing that it is a community, that you, and Greg and Ian and Kate and everyone else is out there and knowing that, while we may not know each other at all or very well, we do all share something in common.
