Hi, Shiela! Hope the baby holds off until Saturday. Take lots of pictures at the Sudoku meet tomorrow! Take some of your paintings, too. I see you don't have a gallery set up yet, and I know I saw some of your pictures before, so I guess it must have been on Debby's page. Anyway, have fun, and I hope the baby arrives safe and sound anyday but Friday!!!

I'll leave up the JA video until I can find a S&S clip we'd like to put up. The whole of the Real Jane Austen video runs 60 minutes (eight 7:30 you tube segments). Suggestions welcome as to the S&S to put up next week. Have you seen the 2008 S&S production?

Hey Shiela, just stopped by to say congratulations on the new grandson and may God bless you all, there is nothing like grandchildren we have two little girls 22months old 11months old and another due in July/August we love and spoil them so much when we catch up, but then again what are grandparents for, best wishes to you all.

Shiela -- first things do come first! However, if you have read it (?) - and I know you've seen the ET movie - perhaps we can post a few comments as to themes or fav or least fav scenes or how horrible or wonderful or unbelievable characters are? Or not, I could just talk to myself since S&S isn't CynB's fav Austen, either. But last time I reread it, I reread it critically and I did find some nice things to discuss there ... Oh, well, I'll collect some thoughts together this week regardless, as I've always wanted to put together a small study on all six Austen novels.

Oh for pete's sake, Shiela, get your sons or daughters to help you get your photo gallery going!!! I can hardly wait to see Emmett! Now remember that those pinched expressions fill out in a month or two and I bet we'll have another candidate for the Gerber poster baby! Brandon's first picture within 24 hours of his birth looked like he ate a lemon. But hey, you fall in love despite the looks. Holding that little baby is holding an angel, your heart swells with love to bursting point.

Shiela, it has been a big couple of weeks for us all it would seem.
I am sorry I wasn't here for most of the week and while I did hear your wonderful news about Emmett's arrival, I didn't know you were going to have a sudoku meet. How was it? I absolutely love meeting other members, in fact, met up with Kathi from Brisbane on Monday. A very pleasant distraction.
Thank you for your kind words on Mum's passing.
She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her children and their families.

Shiela, CynB, Glinda - Anyone have a comment to launch discussion on Pride & Prejudice? It's the most popular and thus is often the doorway into the whole body of JA's work. However, when people read JA it often ceases to be their favorite. So, what's up with P&P? Can you remember the first time you read it or saw it on video? Has the story "grown on you" in any way?

We were very close to the flooding -- we live in the river valley where there was extensive damage. They recommended that people in our area evacuate, but we bravely manned the fort and really weren't affected much at all :)

Hi Shiela - just calling in to thank you for the wonderful birthday greetings. I did indeed have a lovely day, made better by being able to spend it with the whole family.
