Welcome back Shiela.Very pleased to post to you after my disapearing for about 3 Momths due to my eyes problems whish force me not to use the computer while I was in USA. I just return back home this week and feel well and be back to all my friends .

Shiela, so glad you're back and that Nigel doesn't seem traumatized from the separation; great that you had someone kind and caring to tend to his special needs while you were away. Your room sounds like just the thing you needed and I'm thrilled you now have your own space to pursue your painting and listen to music as well--bliss! We just got word that by October 7th all cabinet work should be done, and I'm stipulating that all flooring issues/scratches/stains be remedied by then as well (cost to be split between the contractor and the electrician). So hopefully we won't need to involve a lawyer. To my understanding, the BBB just registers complaints but doesn't do much else...still, it might be worth a call. Was hoping, obviously, to have all this done so that I could remember the passing of my mother (Sept. 30) in peace without such distractions, but that's not the case. We get surly at times from the stress, but still manage to laugh and get out for some fun. You're off to Italy next? Good for you!!

Glad to hear you had a lovely stay in Wales, but who wouldn't, it's such a beautiful place. I wish I had seen more of it when I was there in 2001.
A friend of mine from here (originally English) has just been living there with her husband for the past twelve months as they lived there when they were newly-weds many years ago.
I'll hear all about it next Wednesday when four of us "old" friends get together for dinner at a local restaurant.

Shiela, Nibbles (she) is just a wongerful cat. She is a year old now but I think she will always be a kitten to me! Hubby has nicknamed her Bitey bite cat, I think that is because she doesn't have little milk teeth anymore, they are real fangs! Honestly though, you would think a 19yo would know by now that the cat just doesn't like you kid!
Enjoy Italy, you have been waiting a long time and it is well deserved!

Mom is recovering pretty well for an 86 year old. She has occupational therapy and physical therapy weekdays at the rehab hospital nearby. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Hi Shiela thanks for the interest. We had to go to a wedding in UK so visited Norway (my favourite) and Copenhagen by ourselves and then joined a Princess cruise visiting all the usual Baltic Ports. We had been to St. Petersburg and Moscow the year before and we did not see nearly as much from the cruise ship.
After the cruise we went back to UK and also spent some times in one of your favourites, Wales.
We are not great cruise people but doing the Baltic that way gave us meals,accommodation and transport. Expensive commodities in that part of the world. We have done quite a bit of travelling over the last 20 years but age and arthritis is starting to catch up and slow me down. We had 3 weeks in Malaysia in August.

Hi Shiela, Thanks for the birthday greeting. Yes, this is my second birthday. When I joined in April, I forgot to reverse the month and day. Instead of 4/11, I entered 11/4. Thus 2 birthdays this year, but I'm not adding 2 years. I AM old enough to remember when bars and restaurants use to be closed on election day. That made for some really boring birthdays in my younger days! Thanks again for the birthday greeting. Margot

Hi Shiela! Thanks for your message about Ebony. I hadn't thought about anything in the bathroom being the culprit. She hasn't been in there very much, but maybe??? I don't know if we'll ever be sure what caused this. I just hope it won't ever happen again. We are excited about our trip to SE Asia, but this has sure put a damper on our enthusiasm right now. Hopefully, within the week she'll be much better. Our youngest daughter will come here & stay at our house while we're gone so at least Ebony won't have to go to a kennel. With your experiences with your cat I'm sure you know what we are going through. It makes me feel almost sick myself.

I picked up my son Scott at College today -- rainy drive. We stopped by to visit my Mom on the way back. She is back in rehab - working to get her strength back -- she looked good and was feeling better, A lot of her problems before -- dizzy, weaknees -- should resolve with a more regular heartbeat -- she does say she gets tired and thus has a very early bedtime.
