Thank you soooooo much for the comments and for the lovely "Irish Coffee" (from Columbia!). Sorry I am only commenting now as I put this in the wrong place! When we fly back to Ireland from holidays abroad there is nothing like seeing the green fields spread out below as we come into land. I don't have a lot of patience for Sudoko (although I do it ok) but prefer the jigsaws-online. Thanks again and "have a nice day" Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Tulio, the slow utube is most commonly due to either a slow internet connection (dialup) or just plain slow transfer rate....

Tulio and Mary, if you are still around, try putting the video on pause for a few seconds. You are playing it faster than you are downloading it. If you wait and watch the indicator across the bottom of picture, when it gets ahead then play the video.
Some people have uploaded to Youtube at different speeds. It just takes a little patience and it will be finne.

Hi Tulio, thanks for dropping in on my gallery and I'm glad you enjoyed my photos. The one of the camels at sunset is in Broome, Western Australia 'Puppy Love' is one of my favourites too. Tassie is short for Tasmania.

hi tulio, your name caught my attention as it is our dogs name.
he is an italian dog so we thought it fit. obviously, only the best can take on the name. i was looking at your gallery when my teenage neice and cousin were here. your sons have big fans here in utah! "hot" was their word of choice. you have a beautiful family, and an incredible garden. complimenti!!

Hola, Tulio!
Thanks for your comment on my "mystery plant". You're right, it does look somewhat like a poinsettia. I'll have to take a leaf to our local Extension agent (Forestry Agency) for identification. I still haven't identified the other plant (with the white flowers), but since it's not a "user friendly" plant, I won't be transplanting any of them to my yard!

Hello Tulio - Thank you for the info on ants! I forwarded the message to my husband! He is the wood-room "Keeper." Thanks for taking the time to visit me. For now, I think we have the problem under control! We haven't seen any ants that are crawling. That is a big relief. The last two days have been a nightmare! It seems if we have a summer with more rain, we have more ants. During a dry summer, we usually don't see any. We live in the country and in the woods. We also have yellow-jackets that have a nest inside our overhang on the front of the house. I have taken down my hummingbird feeder. I was afraid I would get stung either taking it down or hanging it! I have sprayed "Raid" up into the crack, but it hasn't phased them. They are interesting creatures to watch. I have a wind chime hanging there and they seem to use it for a "landmark." They fly to it and then crawl to the crack! Thanks again, Tulio, for stopping by. I sure appreciate and we will give your suggestion a try! Have a great day.

Hi Tulio! - Thank you for the birthday wishes. We still have a few ants here and there, but it is nothing like it was! (I don't like anything crawling in my house!!!) We have had a wetter summer than normal and I think that is why we have had so many. I understand that there have been a lot of people around here with ants this year. Thanks for thinking of me! I appreciate it.

Hello Tulio - I came back to check out your pictures. You flowers are very pretty and colorful! I see you do not have a foundation under the house in the mountains. It must not freeze there in the winter? It must be a beautiful place to live.

Hi Tulio! Thank you for all of the info on the flowers! It was very interesting. It sound like you live in a very nice area. My husband is already dreading the cold winter ahead. We have a very long driveway and when we get a lot of snow, it must be plowed. Usually we start running the furnace in September and it runs through until at least the first of May. During September and May we only need a little heat to take the chill out of the air. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures of your flowers and where you live. It looks absolutely beautiful there!!!!

Thank you for the Birthday greeting. Thursday night I was at a party (not for me). Tonight (my Birthday) I was working a concert at Britt, as I will Saturday & Sunday night (the Grand finale of the Classical Season). The only problem was that yesterday & today were 108° degrees tying & setting a record high for the 14th & 15th respectively. It will be in the 100's tomorrow and by Tuesday, it should be in the low 80's again. Overall this summer has been quite mild (cool) - just a couple of really hot spells. So I will continue enjoying my Birthday and Concerts over the weekend. Thanks for the wishes. Next Sunday is Judy Collins - really looking forward to that one.

Our son, Will, took the photo. He came up and said "Hey Mom" and took her picture as she turned to him. That photo is on her grave. I will now go look at your photo gallery.

Helo Tulio: in re the photos; Do you only have Picasa? When uploading to Gath's site I use Microsoft Picture It! Photo 7 or Photoshop. I first crop the photo to 5" x 5", I then use the "Save As" option and 'compress' the file to 50KB and 300x300 pixels. Gath also has an image processor you can download if you use Windows.

Using Picasa:
1. Get the photo you want resized.
2. Click on the File menu and then click on "Export Picture to Folder"
3. On the "Export Foler" click on "Browse", choose the folder that has your photos
(Example: C:\photos\for Sudoku)
4. on "Name of exported folder" type a different name to help you find the photos after they had been resized.
5. Image Size options. Type the size (pixels) you want (300)
6. Image Quality: Change the jpeg % (The smaller the file the faster it will upload but the image quality will suffer. Play with this until you know what % gives you a 50kb file (per photo) and leaves the shot looking good.
7. Click O.K. and Picasa does the rest.
Hope this helps.

Tulio, I believe "Living in Faith" may be a book. Perhaps of the person who wrote the poem.
It seems very fitting as we are in the last of the autumn color & the last time I really had time to post was at the begining of the fullness of the fall colors - that were so beautiful this year. I wished I'd had more time to enjoy them.

Hi, Tulio! I'm glad to see you've got your old page back again! And I love your new photos. I am also impressed with your memory! I did indeed report that the Surf Restaurant was going to shut down on Labor Day (lst Monday of September). But because of the rotten economy (especially in the building industry), they were given a year's reprieve. Again! This is actually the third time their lease was renewed at the last minute! I am looking forward to seeing Kathy & Rob (& Ebony) and munching on some lobsters!!

Hi Tulio.
Thanks for stopping in to my page. I don't have the message notification feature turned on, so I just saw your post today. I haven't seen you post a quite a while, so it's good to know you are still around. I hope all is well with you and yours. Yes, I'm happy retired, but still fighting a few health issues. Hopefully they will be resolved soon. Take care my virtual friend!

Good morning Tulio. I'm so glad you stopped by my page. It is nice to meet you! Thank you for your kind words about my photographs. I am, indeed, lucky to be able to travel so much.
I enjoyed your photo gallery - you have a lovely family and the tropical plants are amazing. We can only dream (and look at photos) of such flowers where I live! My world is surrounded by forest and my little garden of roses, cosmos, and other flowers that will thrive in our environment.
