Glenn, you're cherished here! May you be like my uncle - he had the same surgery done years ago and has worn a bag for as many years. Now the old fart is pushing 90!!! He can drink anyone under the table and still be sober. He swaggers and is a tough cuss. He makes me feel old! May you be like him but much more refined!!!

Glenn, just reading what is going on and I wish you every good luck for a great outcome. quality of life is what is needed so I hope all you are going through will give you that. I have some ideas of what is happening with a father who has an ileostomy for the last 35 years and is now 80 and graeme who had plumbing fix earlier this year. good luck and take care.

Glenn regarding Macquarie University. It is a very well respected university located in a good area of Sydney. My daughter went there about ten years ago to do computer science. I think she will enjoy it. It is located close to a large shopping mall which all the female students frequent in between classes. Good luck I hope it works out well for her

Macquarie Uni has a good reputation in many fields. A lot of students live on campus, though there are townhouses for rent in the adjoining area (Marsfield). It's just down the road from June of Epping and from me. We both often shop at Macquarie Shopping Centre.

Wow Glenn, how exciting for your daughter!! What will she be studying? Our son leaves for America on 30th November, maybe we could do a swap!! LOL!!
Seriously though, we are a bit too far from Macquarie for a daily commute, but would love to show her around down our way, if she could put up with a couple of old fogies. We also have a 23 year old daughter, currently living at home, but who will be moving back to Sydney in the New Year, who could probably introduce her to the Sydney scene.
