Thank you Gail, the Hardest thing was I put him down. Because we are about a hour away from the nearest vet. Hubby was at work that left me. and i didn't want him to suffer any longer.

Thanks Gail. We had a wonderful adventure, returned home yesterday. Spent a great day with Margo and her hubby in Adelaide - they are really nice people, and had a really enjoyable meal with fii in Darwin. She too is a really nice person. She is coming down to Vic for her holidays and I suggested she should contact you - hope you don't mind. However, knowing her tight schedule it may not happen. Next time perhaps.

Thank you, Gail - it is hard, and those empty places (both in the heart and in the house and yard) seem so huge, but poor little Jasper is helping me back to some balance in my life. There is so much he never got to experience - his own chair (it used to be mine, but I've been generous and accepted that I must sit in the other chair now!), food without worry (he's still exceedingly anxious, but getting better). and the simple pleasures of life: leaves blowing around, great sticks to pick up and carry, interesting smells he's allowed to explore, and now, finally, my cats - they are beginning to come to a truce. It really warms my heart to see him happy (I still mniss the calm, peaceful, affectionate life with Sandy, but .........).

Gail - thanks for your wishes once more. We are so pleased and relieved to be up and running again. When we don't feel like smiling a lot, we remind ourselves that we are lucky to be alive!

Don't forget if you are ever over in the West let us know!

Hi Gail, Always the first to wish people well. for your thoughts for my birthday yesterday. It's taken me ages to respond to everyone. I had a nice day with my grand-daughter as I always have her here on Mondays. We had our own party with lots of fairy bread, and then topped it off with dancing class. I am so out of touch that I didn't realise til I came onto your page that your mother had died recently. I am so sorry and send my love and prayers.
