I'm always going somewhere Gail- usually bush to some community. I'm back again now. I love the travelling once I go but hate the day before I leave - especially as a middle- ager. I fuss and worry and procrastinate and finally get packed and then head off and have a great week.

Hi Gail, thanks for dropping by, hope this finds you and yours well. Me and him had a great day at our first meet. He isn't normally very sociable, but found Cyn's hubby, Col, a great ice breaker. Once Vici (california) skyped in, he seemed to loosen up a bit more, and seemed to chat with everyone after that. I'm pretty sure that a great time was had by all. Great company, great food and a great day.
We are heading off on 23rd May on our trip that was planned for last year, but we didn't make it because of my accident. We are meeting up with Sharon in LA for lunch on 24th and Vici in SF for lunch on the 27th. I think Keith and Lynne are coming down to SF as well. I did tell Keith that I would make a HUGE effort to have posted by the time we see him next. If I don't get on later, I'll get on during the week as I am on Holidays now until mid July.

Gail, yes, we had a lovely dinner with CP, talked about so many different things, and we are meeting tomorrow morning to go to the Aquarium before we have to get on the plane. We're stretching it out as much as we can. I'm so glad we finally got to meet after so many near misses.

Thank you for the 40th anniversary wishes! It was truely a day to treasure! Rather like icing on our cake of life!

Thank you very much for the warm birthday wishes, you are right, it was a biggie for me, I am just trying to get used to the fact that I have been on this Earth of ours for 50 years. That seems like such a long time to me and I don't feel anywhere near that old, I am hoping that the next 50 (or so) don't go anywhere near as fast!

Dear Gail, I got a couple of more boxes done today the problem is what will I need in the next couple of weeks and trying to keep things from say the kitchen all in the one box. This move is only ten minutes away from where we are but not on 3 acres like we had here so not as much mowing thank goodness. It will be strange moving to suburbia as we have always had room to move but it will give us time to start travelling. Hope all is well with you and your family.

Oh Gail, aren't you sweet, remembering, thank you . Unfortunately my MIL passed away yesterday, she and I were very close, so I have been spending a lot of time with her in hospital. May is not a good month, although it is about to improve with Caroline's baby due any time now. Thanks for your lovely thoughts.

Yes, the poems are all mine. Only the one about my "Therapy Dog" was written previously; the others have all been inspired by the photos in the puzzles. It takes both the inspiration and a bit of time to put one together, though! But it's fun when it works out well. Sometimes a word isn't quite right or it doesn't scan just the way I'd like, but I don't spend a LOT of time polishing these ... otherwise I'd have to post them days after the photo! But I have kept a log of them, and it's kind of interesting to look back on some of them! Perhaps I'll check out the poetry page ... though I'm swamped right now, and shouldn't even be looking at the puzzle site! Take care! -Cyn

I haven't been around for awhile...spent last year (2008) in Scotland--need to get around to putting pics up. Am now just trying to settle into my studies of Biomedical Science up in Newcastle. How have you been? Were you hit by the fires (I'm not too sure where cockatoo is ...put it into context of melbourne and leongatha and i might be able to visualise where it is--my sister's a teacher in leongatha). Good to be remembered--a bit like Dante's Prayer by Loreena McKennitt.
