Rena, thank you for the girthday greetings. I intend to make a week of celebrations. Got together with my daughters and Laura on Sunday. Saw my sister yesterday. Lawn bowls with friens today and off to Melbourne on Thursday to see Son and Grandsons.

I just hate coooking on demand. I have no imagination. If I feel like it then I love cooking but now when I just have to feed the troups - continuously.

Hi Rena....the quilt is beautiful....isn't it great how we find so much help at this site...no wonder we are addicted. Good onya for finishing before the holidays too. You finished the quiz? How many levels did it take. I'm stuck where it tells you not to push the green button...I don't push and it said I failed...its at the genius level...but there seem to be much more. Help me if you can please...I don't feel like a genius...lol

Hi Rena, and thanks for dropping in. We have our traditional spring here, overnight lows in the minus and daytime highs in the plus. Today was a high of plus 22. Things are well here. My daughter left Kelowna and has moved to Vancouver as of the start of this month. How is all with you and yours? Cheers!

An update on Beth: She is doing better although is still in serious condition. She had two units of blood to raise her blood pressure and that helped quite a lot. The infection has settled into her hip and she has no use of that leg at present. She is on a morphine pump so it must be quite painful. They are testing to see if the bacteria is out of her blood stream. When it is, she'll go on IV antibiotics for about 6 weeks, I guess. Thanks for thinking of her.

Thank you Rena for the wishes, I forwarded the message to Kara. She will be happily surprised when she gets home from work. She is living in London Ontario.

An update on my niece. For all of you who sent good wishes and prayers, Beth was released from the hospital after being in 10 days. She will continue IV antibiotics at home for another 5 weeks. I am truly thankful for all of the concern shown to me by my sudoku family.

so much for dropping bye and helping to make my birthday a special day. This has been my first birthday on the site and I've ended up quite 'gobsmacked' for want of a better word!!

Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Hey Julie...Its so good to see you posting even if its occasionally. I'd love for you to be able to spend more time here, but we all understand....more of us need to devote less time to Sudoku and chatting then we do and we're not home-schooling children and all that that entails...sooo, happy to see you when ever.
