I haven't visited your place before. Trouble is there's a lot of travelling to do on this site and only 24h in one day -
(- oh! I forgot! - there are 24h in one day here as we exerience a full terrestrial revolution each day).
Like you, I am also interested in Buddhism, and I have lived in Japan and made Buddhist friends out there. My best friend is a Japanese Buddhist - if a bit lapsed. I have been to Thailand also and experienced Buddhism's serenity and tolerance there.
I note true Buddhist's sensitivity to others; their tolerance; and especially a love of animals and respect for all living things. This is very real; and animals know and like Buddhists - just like animals accepted St Francis.
I don't know why, but the animals that communicate with me are dangerous, venomous ones -they never harm me; but they come close and introduce themselves.
I have many related anecdotes.
Does this mean I am a 'venomous person' do you think? - or does it mean that even venomous creatures accept me (the opposite)?
Life is full of enigma.

I forgot to mention.
I have left you a pair of scorpions; a red-backed spider; a mukadah (giant centipede); a taipan snake; a bevy of tropical rainforest leeches; a Thai hooded cobra; a swarm of hornets; a few bolts of lightning at the ready; and a few other nick-nacks such as have harmlessly introduced themselves to me in the past. These creatures will be your watchdogs, as I have left them with struict instructions to guard you with their lives. Have no fear, they are friendly individuals - but don't get overconfident about any of their mates!

Thanks for the suggestion Dino - eucalyptus oil would kill any germs too... I think I'll try patches and see what happens. My mother took photos for me in Moulamein when they put up signs redirecting traffic on Anzac Day... I figure all 2 cars would need reminding that there was a parade on! I had my kids all confused when I reminded them to watch for traffic when crossing the road. They looked up and down the empty street, then at me, back at the street, "But Mum...."

Hi dino, I am from Carrum Downs, which is near Frankston. I grew up in Cheltenham but spent many a Friday night at Derbys Night Club in Caulfield. I think it is now a pokies venue like most of the haunts were I hung out in my early 20's. Now days I don't get out much as I am a single parent of 3 boys. The oldest moved out at the beginning of year and since I don't have to drive him to all of his sporting events, I find I have a bit more time on my hands. Do you think you will come down for the Christmas doo.

Thank you for asking. But I do feel foolish now since I do feel better and did well with the treadmill test. But I do exercise more and have started running more regularly. Afterall I have one grandson and would love to see him grow!

Hi Dino. There is a free trial mahjong at www.popcap.com that isn't too bad. It doesn't have a time limit but you can only play 8 of the 18 layouts and use three of the tile sets. I downloaded it and if you don't mind the limitations, it's okay. You can try the on-line version first to see if you like it.
