so much for stopping by my page with well-wishes for my husband. He is doing pretty well so far - the biggest pain for him is living with only one usable arm and it being his non-dominant hand!
I stopped into your flickr site for a bit. Your photography is stunning! You are so talented! I will have to drop back in when I have a bit more time. I don't have a flickr account, so I won't be able to comment on the individual pictures. I have to tell you, tho - it would be so hard as one picture is as spectacular as the next!

Wow! A Panther!!!!!!! I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo jealous!!!!!!!! Have you posted the blurry pic???? I will be sure and take the Loop Road next time, I have always stayed on Tamiami Trail in the past!

Nal, you have much reason to be proud and to post this photo. Though far from magazine-cover quality (like many of your photos), its content is so unique I would post it anyway. There are VERY few photos taken by non-governmental tyoes of the Panther. The size of the cat, its color, and the long tail make positive ID- a Florida Panther!
I assume you have seen the blurry shot of a bobcat in my backyard I took with a simple autofocus Nikon Coolpix:

Nal - I think that is SO cool that you spotted a panther. So rare! I have seen a mountain lion (cougar here on the west coast) in the wild. Fortunately it was sauntering away from my direction and didn't notice me - as I was on my bike!

Hi nal, I share our excitement about the panther sighting and photo. We have just returned from our travels and your message was waiting. I too, have been unable to find your photo but I have the feeling that it is the sighting that excited you most - the photo is just a record. We don't have any big cats in Australia, the most dangerous creatures are salt-water crocodiles and snakes.
Your patience has been rewarded.

I love Otters. Great picture. When we lived in Santa Cruz, California, we belonged to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We loved it and loved our many motorcycle trips up and down the Big Sur Coastline.

I spent all day long trying to upload an avatar. I followed all the steps in your mssge and went until submit a new avatar but nothing upload in my page. I even created a Flickr album and tried to upload some of the pics in that album but no flickr appears in my page. What can I be doing wrong?.

I am sad to hear that your mother will not be with you much longer. Home hospice is a wonderful choice. My brother, who passed away last week from cancer, never had to leave his home thanks to the loving care of hospice nurses and doctors and, of course, his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hi Nal! I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip. Thanks for leaving me a birthday greeting. My birthday this year was definitely one of my most exciting ever! It began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! But even better than that was our day at the Tiger Temple. I had some qualms about going there since our tour guide discouraged us by saying it was over-commercialized & too long a trip. No one else in our group wanted to go so we decided to go on our own, & I was so glad I did. Hope you saw my comment on page 1 today about the tigers NOT being drugged. I like to think I can believe that what the gal from Clemson told me is true. I know you are an animal lover & would have been as thrilled as Rob & I were to be so close to those magnificent creatures. We were so happy we were both in tears - does that make sense? I will send you an e-mail which Rob sent out which has more pictures of the whole experience. We were there for almost two hours! The volunteers were wonderful. Most of them were Thai, but there were some from other countries, too. They took us by the hand & led us around to pose with all the different tigers (there are 34 there). They took our cameras & used them to take the photos. Since it was the last day of our trip they finished up the memory cards on both of our cameras! What a very special Grand Finale for us!! If you ever have a chance to go there you should. Hope all is well with you & your family. Rob & I wish you a very Merry Christmas and I'm wondering if maybe in 2009 there might be an announcement of a future grandbaby for you???? When that does happen, that baby will probably turn out to be the most photographed child in history!!
