You guessed right Wendy. Don't even think of where it is standing. This type of photos are best taken on an empty stomach.

Hallo Nan, Sargent Pepper es muy bueno! Muy Bien? LOL. Just a shout out to let you know that you are in my thoughts! Welcome to the you tube group. When do you find time for everything???? Sure could use one of those great rum drinks right about now. Praying the rains grant respite from the drought situation without getting ugly. Peace.

Hi,nal! I just went to the site you provided last night to 'see' your daughter. She's a beauty. I read about her accomplishments & interests. WOW! I have no idea what all of that means, but it sounds interesting & impressive. It also sounds as if 'Explorers' were CHOSEN, didn't just sign on for a fun cruise. You must be extremely proud of her! Congratulations on her accomplishments. Of course, what could we expect from a very accomplished Mom like you?

thanks for the prompt reply! i got hooked on chicory coffee here in louisiana. it's a new orleans blend. it's less caffeine. i mix a lot of vanilla creamer in it and heat it in the nuker. i'm not necessarily a coffee drinker, but i do like the decorations in it! lol (lots of creamer) i'm technically a tea drinker. love all those herbal teas. right now i have a liquid packet of peach green tea. yum
i really like cafe con leche with the steamed milk. steaming give a different flavor. hubby does the espresso and steaming. lol.not me.

Nal, OMG I remember Mellow Yellow when I was young! Thanks for the memory. The yellow flower above is it Spanish Broom? Here we have it growing on the roadside by the seacliff where my former school is. They do have a lovely scent and make the Pacific Coast Highway look beautiful.

Hi Sharon: I loooooved Donovan! Glad I was able to bring back memories. Good all of them, I am sure.
I found this growing under a huge propane tank, so I 'transplanted' it to my backyard. I am praying it takes and next year I might have a backyard full.

Hi, Nal!
I just lost a comment to you. I love your picture of the owl! I'm sure I've never seen 1 so close. Once we saw an owl turn his head like that, though. About 13 or 14 months ago we saw an owl right outside our daughter's third-floor condo kitchen window. It was probably only 10 feet away, but the tree and approaching dusk made it difficult to see well. Even though we were helping with our baby granddaughter's bath, we didn't have a camera handy, so both the bath and the owl were not photographed.

I just had to drop past and tell how much I love your photo called 'Sweet Dreams'. Where did you take it? I didn't know you had lions in Florida.
An amazing photo. A lot of people have added comments so I guess you know how good that pic is.

Nal,
Thank you for visiting, and thank you for the kind thoughts. My son and I are doing ok. Spring is a hard time for us...too many dates, birthdays, aniversarys, day of death, mom's day, father's day...but it's all past, another year.
My dad taught me many of the things your dad taught you, he's still alive, 82 I think, and headed to Alaska...driving, hauling a trailer, w/ his 'girl'friend!!! Amazing!!!
keep in touch Anya

There is an open range zoo not far from where I live and you can go around the zoo in either a bus or an open Range Rover type thing. We went there earlier this year on the way home from a night out and unfortunately did not have my camera with me. I plan to go back and take the camera and do the tour with the guides but I think it would be better when the weather warms up, as it is winter here. They have a couple of lions but you obviously don't drive among them but there are zebra and giraffe, rhino and a few other animals which I can't remember right now but should be interesting when I do it.

OMG, Cubana! When I started teaching, I told my first teaching assistant to speak to me in Spanish because I started learning it and I needed to hear it daily. Lord help me, I didn't know that Cubanos speak Spanish the most rapid of all the other countries. I learned Spanish quickly because of her (btw she has her doctorate in psychology). I taught full bilingual classes in Spanish for years and could at one point tell what country you were from just by listening! Btw, what is Nal short for?

Hi, Nal! The white tiger photo is amazing! But then, which of your photos is not? EVERYBODY, if you have never visited Nal's Flickr page, give yourself a present and visit soon!
I love your photos - composition, color, CLARITY. Each new one is better than the last. And this is NOT what your career is, if I'm correct? Just your avocation/love? WOW!

Hi nal, a week or so ago I watched a tele documentary of a woman who was bitten by an alligator while she was in the everglades. Unfortunately she died, not from the bite but from the infection that set in. Please do take great care to watch out for alligators during your expeditions into the Everglades - don't become so absorbed in your photography that you forget to look out for the 'nasties'.
Whenever I take overseas visitors for a walk in the bush I warn them to watch out for snakes. We have a lot of venomous snakes in Australia and there is no excuse for stepping on a sleeping snake. I tell them, 'Don't wander around with your eyes up in the trees, look down before you take each step.' I haven't lost one yet!
BTW, I am continually amazed by your ability to create photos of exquisite beauty.

Hi, nal! How exciting and touching and extremely special that must have been when your Mom remembered your shared excursion/nature enjoyment/picture taking! That is something you will always have! And, now you know that nature may be a trigger that helps your Mom remember. Have a wonderful day!
