STELLA, I think i tis so big because the peach graphic is so big. We grow really big peaches here in chilton county. Who was it saying peach season is over fore they know it is started? Ours lasts may into September! Farmers plant many different varieties, so peaches available for the longest possible time. Kind of smart of them, hey?

Hi Stella: Know you're busy, but thought I'd stop by for a quick minute. Congratulations to your son on his graduation, expecially his achievements to qualify for speech. Enjoy the weekend and all the festivities. I know your son can't enjoy it, but I've brought you some bubbly for when you finally get chance to relax.

Stella I know you're not going to believe this but I came straight over last night and spent ages writing a great post but the gobbled it up. The gist was I came over with a plate of nibblies and a bottle of bubbly so we could sit down and chat about kids. Just wanted to say I hope your adorable (hope you dont mind me saying!) son thinks hard about the decision he's making. I hope he is reasonable and listens to the wise things you say. I know his anger feels insurmountable but he is just about to enter the real world where he will be able to see that this is but a small blur in the greater scheme of things. The next step you take is such a little one, don't stumble over it Brendan. Make friends in life, not enemies.

WooHoo!!! One down and how many more to go? I thought when my sons graduated that I didn't have to worry about them any more. But there's always something. In those somethings they do something that makes you so proud of them and love them even more for it. So give yoursself a pat on the back for job well done in raising Brendan!!!

Wow Stella - How touching Brendon's speech must have been. Your dad must have left quite an impression on this young man's life! It is wonderful to see a teenager respect their Grandfather's life.

Jenny hopes to start at the Community College this Fall. She would like to become a Child Pyschologist. She enjoys working with children. At first she thought she would like 12 children of her own, but I think she is having second thoughts! She goes for her driving test today. This is her second try. I drive an extended mini-van and she had problems parallel parkiing. She has been practicing a lot. We had her parking between trees here at home! I told her I wasn't driving her to college! Her other alternative would be living on campus! She thought she could save money by starting at the Community College.

We hope to retire down in Virginia within the next two years. Our property is about 2 miles north of the North Carolina line. We are in the Blue Ridge mountains off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are about 10 miles West of I-77. It is in a small town called Fancy Gap. Do you remember seeing it going to North Carolina? When we go 'down' the mountain, we are in North Carolina.

Thanks for your visit. Please come back again!

G'Day Stella, thank for dropping by, I've been a little busy, so sorry for the delay in responding. I agree Mikayla is beautiful ( I wouldn't be biased ). Yes the Jabiru is small but that's no reason to get sick, I take a lot of people for I ride and rarely do they get sick.

Hi Stella, Thank you for the visit and glad you liked my photo. It did take a while to set up the page as a 'Welcome'. Even made the scones to make it authentic.
I love the tribute you have for your son's graduation and what an expression of joy is shown in the photo.
I looked up Saratoga in my North American Road Atlas as I am always interested to see where people come from. Nice and close for a trip into the mountains.

Hello Stella - thank you for visiting my page. My apologies for not having visited you before but there have been so many new members of late that you must have slipped through without me realising I hadn't visited.
I have a feeling that the two Albany's may be sister cities because I know we have one somewhere in USA and I think it may be yours. I'm sure yours would obviously be a lot larger than ours, but that I prefer because I don't really like big cities and wouldn't like to live in one.
Here's a bottle of our local (10kms out of Albany) Wignall's Late Harvest for you to enjoy. A lovely dessert wine which is popular among the ladies when we have get togethers for work, etc.
Cheers

Hi Stella; Thank you so much for your visit and for your kind words about my photos. If you notice ALL of them are either flowers, animals or scenery. Nature is easy! When we take photos that exude the emotions of the moment, those are the priceless portraits. The ones that we - and our descendants - will cherish always.
Having said that, get your camera and go for drives or walks. Keep your eyes everywhere (see Ian's comments on my page - very good advise) and photograph everything you like. Flora, fauna, buildings (old or new), shapes, shadows, etc. Even on days when I come back with a bunch of photos and only one that turned out how I wanted, I feel like a million dollars just from having experienced the joy of spending time in the 'woods' (swamps more like it)

Hi Stela, and thank you for dropping in to my page. I like Cat Stevens, and have posted severa; of his songs in the past, and I'll continue to post more of his songs in the future. Glad you enjoy him. As to the SA pages. I appreciate the invite, but I prefer to post on line on the Sudoku puzzles where I can reach everyone who participates on the site. I know people who participate in the SA pages have a wonderful rapport, but as an old time member, I prefer to reach out to all those who come to the site, not just those who know about special pages and go to them to chat. No offense meant, but I like just posting on the regular puzzle pages and on peoples' individual pages. Don't have enough time in the day to do more than that. Cheers!

Hello Stella and thankyou for visiting me and for the flowers. Sorry about your Dad, must be hard with the anniversary coming up. But congrats to your son!! I am assuming that his Valedictory speech is done at his university graduation. What did he do his degree in? My daughter is in her final year of her degree in Applied Science, Environmental Health.
I also have only limited time on the computer (too many grown up children at home!!) so mostly only comment on the puzzles. Did try to go to the SA first page once, but it took so long to download that I gave up on it, but the SA2 page may be better. This site has far too many time comsuming things to do!!!
Have brought you some lovely Aussie Bubbly to share with your guests. Enjoy!!!

Stella, thanks fo much for the flowers, they are very welcome, it is wet and wintry here so they brighten up the place. Horses look lovely in the paddock but can be a problem, especially rescued ones as they come with anxieties and are often neurotic. With the current two it is a 'labour of love'!! With no children to worry about we have time for animals. Take care.

Sorry Stella, over here the students don't get to wear the mortarboard and gown until they graduate from University. At the end of High School they have a Presentation Day where prizes are given out, and a formal dinner, but that is all. I wish him all the best in his studies!

Stella, I'm gonna have to take a few pictures locally to satisfy your curiosity. I've got lots of pictures of other place but dang few from around here. I guess taking pictures of the familiar takes a back seat to the exotic and it is hard to imagine these surrounding being exotic to someone from someplace else.

Hi Stella - Thank you for your visit and for the beautiful flowers. After I spent 7 weeks with my parents this winter, I came home. My husband called one day and said it was time! (I think he missed me!) I had taken my mom to 9 sessions of Physical Therapy and 8 appointments to a Chiropractor, Up to the University of Florida for a consultation and several other appointments. No one seems to really know what her problem has been. She has had pain starting in her upper back, going down to the lower back and around to abdomen. She said she has never in her life had pain like this. But, I think I can 'see' a slight improvement in the last month. We actually carried on a conversation the last time I talked to her. That was encouraging. My husband and I wonder if maybe she has had some kind of a virus. These viruses are so different today. Being so far away from her has been very hard. They live about 1500 miles from me. I wanted to be here for Jenny as she completed her last year of High School. She will never do that again! Thanks for asking. I appreciate you remembering!

Hi Stella, Thanks for dropping by my page. Yes, we came back to Lake George for the Americade for 7 years. Our last was a couple years ago. We would come into town early and park our motorhome at Saratoga Spa. I would play golf there and then we would go set up our jewelry booth at Americade. We did a lot of motorcycle touring around there. Love the area (during the summer). My folks were from upstate and I was born in Buffalo but moved away when I was 9. We are leaving for a trip tomorrow to Billings MT. and Souix Falls SD. I will try to drop by CA2.

Hi, Stella. I read on the SA pages after you had left that your son was playing in a tournement in NC and that last year your family rented a beach house when he played. What towns in NC? (I'm originally from NC.)

Hi Stella, and as always, so nice to have you visit. I'm sure your trip to Smugglers will be loads of fun, though you're probably nearer to me in Saratoga. I'm in Hamilton, about a six-hour drive from you (Smugglers is about nine ...)
And yes, our next trip is already booked, and it'll be a dandy. We're celebrating our 25th in August and are going on the Windsurf (big sailboat) to the French and Italian Rivieras, ending with two days in Rome. Very much looking forward to that. So much world, so little money! But it's nice to be home with our cats who've been clinging to me (in this humidity!) Hope you're surviving this godawful temperature and that all's going beautifully for you.
