Hi Mamacita. You're not a football fan are you? Where did you get that fullback from that's running across your page? Enjoyed the Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand video. Great choice! Stay tuned this week for my Mums Mably performing Abraham, Martin and John. Cheers!

Dear Mamacita, you always know the exact thing to say to boost a person's spirit. I'm trying to keep a balance so I don't burn out--I've resumed my exercise routine and attacked my work today, trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy. You're right that caring for a loved one can take its toll (been there before ...); it's also God's work, and a task I undertake with all the zeal and gusto and energy it requires. I pray frequently for wisdom and strength and so far, I've been granted some of each. Mom will likely be tranferred to the rehab clinic later this week and her intensive therapy will begin. After that a determination will be made as to whether she's able to go home or whether she'll require a long-term health care facility. Until then we wait and cheer her on at every turn. I'm sending you and my heartfelt gratitude for your unending thoughtfulness. Hope you and your loved ones are well and celebrating all that Life has to offer.

Mama - "Redskins" is a (politically incorrect) name for Indians. Indians worshiped Eagles. Will they be worshiping them a few hours from now?

I'm more into College Football and my Bruins got skunked or they were the skunks stinking up the place Saturday against Utah.

Hello Mamacita - Thank you for viewing my pictures! No, I was not in the band, but I was lucky enough to get to play my Mountain Dulcimer with them! That was very exciting, but I found out I have a long way to go. They play much faster than what I am accustomed to! So... I need to practice, practice, practice! I will get there because I am determined to do it! I did have a "fiddle" lesson while I was down there and that was very exciting! Thanks, again, for visiting!

Oh, By the way, are you near the mountains there in PA? I am curious. My DIL is from Pittsburg.

My Goodness, Mamacita! I haven't been to your page in a while. You have made some changes! I just made a quick stop at SA3 and saw that you had briefly been there. Rather than miss you there, I decided to come "directly to the source" and say Hello here! We have missed your friendly and intelligent contributions to the site. Hope all is well! Just thought I would stop by with some flowers and some fresh (still warm) cinnamon rolls.

Condolences on the Eagles loss; they played a good game--or at least the last quarter which is all I saw. There's no gloating intended here. I was born in Washington and raised in a Maryand suburb, so I'm naturally a Redskins fan, but I really haven't followed them too closely in the last few years. Ever since the Panthers came into being, I don't get chance to see the Skins play anymore so all I know is what's in th newspaper.
So, I offer you a true southern drink, a mint julep to heal your wounds. If you don't prefer that, I've also brought you a bourbon and coke or Southern Comfort on the rocks.

Hi there Mamacita, thanks for popping in. Please search for two more groups from SA, who are very popular and really good, they are Malaika & Freshly Ground. I really enjoyed your youtube, did you watch the EMMY awards - Tony Bennett, at 80, performed with Christina Aguilera, very interesting combination!!

Help, Mamacita! I've requested your presence as a "second" in a duel with Judy (Keith is her second). Shosho is making up the rules as I speak. Something about weinie sticks at 20 paces. But Rayray is providing sheep to ride, so it's sounding more like a jousting tournament. Anyway, the event takes place at sundown at Jeb's place (about 8:30 pm our time; 7:30 Kansas time). Please honor me with your presence. (Besides, Judy says she wants to take a shot at your!!!)

Mamacita, thank you for dropping by and looking at my pictures. I took what seems like a gazillion pictures, but figured that no one would have the patience to look at them all, so I chose 1 or 2 from each area we visited.

Yes, our hotel/room was perfect for Opera House viewing. Our first 24 hours there we must have opened and closed our drapes 100 times looking at the view in every light, at every time of day. I have some nice nighttime pics of it as well.

Serendipity is the answer to my husband's birthday being in exotic locations. We like to travel after kids are back in school and fewer people are traveling, so September is a good month for us. Actually, my husband was a teeny bit whiny over missing our usual family fishing trip/BBQ for his birthday two years in a row, but he managed to adjust.

Mama - I am praying for both you and your husband. May the Lord be with you both and guiding the surgeon's hands. Put your trust in Him and His will be done.

In a couple of days, ask me what I did Saturday afternoon. It was very rewarding.

God bless and hold you close, as you cling to Him for support and comfort.

Mamacita: I was so glad to hear that Sully's surgery was such a success. What kind of physical therapy will he have to undergo? You both will continue in my prayers as the trying times after surgery ensue. Patience is the key(probably more for you; because he, most likely, won't have any!)
Good luck and God Bless.
