I'll be staying at the Super 8 on Union Square from the 13th through the 17th. I am so excited about this! This is going to be an awesome group of people! I'm also looking forward to being in SF. Haven't been there in at least 10 years! Vici said she'd pick you, Linda, "Mr. Linda" and me up for the bash. I'll just come over to your hotel that night to make it easy for her. How long are you going to be in town?

Hi Ouima! I thought you might be interested to know that Jayson Werth played here at Bowie (Bowie Baysox). He was a catcher (and a good one) at the time I knew him. This was part of an article on the Baysox website. Another reason to root for the Phillies!

The 2008 World Series, featuring the Philadelphia Phillies against the Tampa Bay Rays also features Baltimore Orioles 1st round draft pick Jayson Werth (1st rd, 1997). Werth took the field for Bowie as a catcher during parts of the 1998-2000 seasons. Since his days in a Baysox uniform, Werth has spent time with Toronto, the L.A. Dodgers and now Philadelphia. His switch from behind the plate to the outfield has helped his development as a player and given him opportunities he may not have had as a catcher.

Mama I am looking forward to a chat once the election is over...I'm sorry I missed you today.

Not a lot happening my end unless you count Lachie having gastro in the middle of his Yr12 exams...vomited 15'into his 1st exam. As you can imagine the girls in SA have been keeping our spirits boosted with all their advice and support. Each time I read out a message Pete gets this look on his face to say you are all barmy and Lachie is the exact opposite! You know how it is.

Everybody is up to their usual tricks in SA...racing for TOPP's, tying to outdo each other with Halloween finery, following each others advice and nagging... trips to the doctors, tests and Suzy is even working on her Dip Ed..she is up to 1600 words last count..he he.. or was that what she had to do?

Heidi has even more animals, IH is up to his old tricks, Vici is back from her holiday and is counting down to when she picks you up. I so wish I was coming....sob! Tricia's modem is always on the blink...as is mine. Mariana is still missing Bret and at the moment is not at all happy with her BIL for snaffling him up and keeping him away from them on one of his brief flying trips home.

Rolanda is desperately trying to clear the clutter out of her bog so there is somewhere for Rena to stay. We will be meeting her in Cockatoo in a few weeks..29th probably. Big excitement. CynB's new puppy , Jewell, lived up to her name and chewed through the internet cable and hopefully Colin has improved on the temporary cable.

What else...oh yes..Viv is decluttering BIG TIME and has moved her her computer out into the sun room and now she has access after her son has retired. The novelty hasn't worn off and she is staying up big time. Broni is as cheeky as ever as is Susan, Tami and Liz has taken to being very Dizzy and dropping sheets of words to songs everywhere!! Becky, Julie and Ruby as usual are full of concern and good good advice, Stella has earnt mum of the year sitting thru freezing sporting games, June is still Queen of the TOPP's and has snaffled yet another as I type this....

I let the cat out of the bag that Eaa's real name is Edna...hehe..Tricia doesn't believe me ...and I dubbed Dame Edna Average and she has since informed us that her middle name is 'Above'...so that you can see from that synopsis that you haven;'t missed much!! BTW I haven't even filled you in on Brenda who I hope is ok..haven't run into her lately. vdV flies in periodically and Gail is up to her elbows in her new vege patch which has kept her very busy for a few weekends now. Dino's vision is still a big problem and she finds it hard to scroll down the page and read SA. Who have I missed? Nola, Mary and somebody who I hope will not be too upset that I've run out of steam before getting to them!!

I hope things in your life are settling down some. I am definitely retiring in May, so hope to be able to do some things after that. So much depends on my retirement package - two old teachers don't draw much retirement! But Jeanie and I are going to enjoy ourselves.

MAMA, Scooter is a girl, she is the Mother of Screech, who is also a girl. Hubby names kitties for their personality, and scooter would as a kitten lie on her side, reach as far forward as possible and drag or scoot herself along. Scooter hehehe Phantom is male, but you are soo right, very friendly comes to us wanting lovin.

Hi Mama - just a quick thank you for your message of support for my reunion with my son. It has been wonderful - we saw our 3 grandaughters yesterday and it was delightful. My hubby and I feel so happy and blessed that we have decided to dispense with Xmas gifts to one another - we have received the best present we can imagine.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best Christmas possible under the circumstances. I can only imagine that it won't be easy but you have the love and support of your real family and friends and your cyber friends from Sudokuland, hopefully that will make make it easier.
