Hi Shiela,

I'm so glad we could get together today! Thanks for coming. Also, thanks for your nice comments about my cute boys. I happen to think that photos rarely do them justice. Then again, I'm the Mom and am just a little bit biased. I look forward to our next meeting. See ya then!

Oh Shiela, I am so very sorry to hear about your niece and her baby who was born asleep. I am sending as many positive vibes as I can for her. We need her to come through this, both the infection and the grief, for her young ones at home.

Hi Shiela! Thanks for the greeting, I'm still sorting out how this site works - I'm much more familiar with journal sites, like Livejournal, so this one is a little different to what I'm used to! Look forward to seeing you around.

Sudokuland is more than just a game site, its our "cyber home". A place we go to when we need a friend. I'm honoured to know you and call you a friend. Please feel free to "get carried away" as much as you like, thats what friends are for.

Positive thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

My hubby has been known to ask me to darn his socks... only when he wants a response! I'll know what to say next time other than "you're kidding, right? Do it yourself if you are so keen to repair them!" I like your's much better...

Hi Shiela,

I thought that the usual rule for spelling in English, was 'i' before 'e' - except after 'c' - so I think that you spell your name correctly - and everybody else is wrong.

Best Regards,

Neil

Hi Shiela in replyto your question regarding the queen she as performed this ceromaney for as long as she as been the queen over 55 years. up to about 25 years ago she did the trooping the colour while riding a horse but becouse of security and her age she now takes to horse drawn carrage. this is a huge tourist attraction in london every june.
Trooping the colour go's back many years to queen Victoria. The colourers are a flag handed over to a branch of the british army which is one of the queens guards regements.
I hope the answers your question if not i would love to give you more information if i can

Shiela, can you believe it? What news! Miracles do happen, and I've been one of the lucky ones. Thanks so much for your concern. And it's great to know you'll soon be telling us your renovation stories ... your new room sounds like a great idea, a nice haven where you can pursue the interests you love. Keep me posted!

Hello Shiela,
Thanks for your Easter greetings. To answer your question, no we don't have Easter lillies. Each Church decorates it, how ever they wish.

I did light an extra candle this weekend for all my friends here in Sudokuland, and said a special prayer for all. Hope all is well with your niece and continued positive thoughts are flowing your way.

Hey, Shiela! Thanks for visiting. Had to include a statement - you have one month longer to cuddle for warmth! But I can understand the joint aches when it gets cold. I'm complaining and I am in southern California. Oy! imagine me in Michigan - OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!

Yahoo, Shiela! I'm so thrilled that your niece has come home. What an absolute relief, and isn't it nice to be able to lean on the strength of so many supportive friends from all corners of this terrific world? The power of prayer is so awe-inspiring ...
Arthur is curled up beside the radiator in my office, still eager to spend time with me even though I trimmed his claws this morning, not his favourite thing! Holmes and Spike are off sleeping somewhere--two more who aren't earning their keep!
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for sharing your great news.

Hi, Shiela! Thanks for the welcome. Coffee is Good. It doesn't have to be "gourmet" - just throw some grounds in a sock, tie it off, throw it in a pot of water and let it boil. A half hour ought to do it... (Sailors & Truckers take their coffee where they find it. I've been both)

Hi, Shiela! Thanks for the congrats! In answer to your question regarding letters having their own words, all consonents have words, but vowels don't (because their pronunciation is obvious). In any case, here are the alphabet words according to Webster's 7th Collegiate Dictionary: a, b (bee), c (cee), d (dee), e, f (ef), g (gee), h (aitch), i, j (jay), k (kay), l (el), m (em), n (en), o, p (pee), q (cue), r (ar), s (ess), t (tee), u, v (vee), w (double-u), x (ex), y (wye), z (zee or zed).

Hi Shiela
Glad the controversy about aitch started - a pet peeve of mine!!!! It's hard to prove myself on this one though, especially since teachers know everything and mothers know nothing, for some of kids' lives anyway..
