Thank you Shiela for making my birthday a special one.
Many sudoku friends from around the world coming to visit me and wishing me a Happy Birthday have overwhelmed me.
My Husband and sons took me out to dinner to a Chinese Restaurant, and on the Sunday, we had a delicious Roast Dinner at MIL’s.

Hi Shiela, and thanks for POXing my shyster countertop guy! I'm sure I can find a Hungarian gypsy curse somewhere to add to your hex. These certaily aren't earth-shattering problems, just enormous aggravations that eventually try our patience. Our attitude now is not to even anticipate an end date to this project, just to watch each stage unfold, albeit slowly, and know that at the end, we'll have a kitchen that will be both beautiful and efficient. Are you mourning the loss of your deck? Must have been odd to see the thing go and to try and envision a room in its place. No wonder your cats are walking around perplexed. Our three have been "confined" to the second and third floors of our house for eleven weeks now, and don't even seem too bothered that their space has been cut in half. Thank goodness they're not as stressed out as we are! Keep me posted on your progress. Who knows? Your addition may be done before our kitchen! We'll swap photos ... and one day we'll laugh ... Have a wonderful weekend!

Up late? LOL It's like this: I lay on the floor next to Sean's bed to talk & sing to him, and darned if I don't fall asleep first! :-P So then, when I wake up at 10pm, I'm awake for another couple or three hours. Kind of frustrating, actually, but I know it won't last forever. Sooner or later he'll want to be left alone to go to sleep, and then I'll miss all of this. (sigh)

Shiela, thanks for dropping by and wishing me a happy B/D. I do remember seeing yours yesterday. Of course that IS today, our time. What a great way to celebrate ... at the Indy 500. I was never able to get back there during the race. However, Linda and I were there one time on the motorcycle, went to the museum and bought a T shirt. Our motorcycle group went and rode on the track another time but we had opted not to go down there from Madison WI. Wish we had done it now. Kick ... Kick ... Kick. Hope you and the drunk are ok.

Oh my gosh!!!! I had about 22 messages in my inbox today just from Sudoku friends wishing me a 'Happy Birthday'! Thank you so much for all of your kind thoughts and wishes especially when I haven't been around for so long. It has been a wonderful day and a lovely weekend. Rick and I went away to a romantic chalet at Springbrook with an open fireplace and we went bushwalking etc. I have uploaded a photo of Kiarah and some others onto 'my page'. Photos taken 26th May 2008. Kiarah is just about 18 months old now and still gorgeous hahaha....

Shiela, Just wanted to thank you for helping to make my special day better with your birthday greetings....one of these days we'll have to try to get together and celebrate together since our days are so close....Hope Danica's upset didn't spoil your day too much, and the cat didn't give you a hard time as you gave her her shots...continue to celebrate and enjoy.

Hi Sheila, glad you enjoyed the pancakes and syrup on your "bigie" birthday. I like "bigies" because they're special - except for 30, didn't like that one... but that's a whole other story... Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I much prefer SW MI to SE MI where I lived for 17 years. Still, would love to go someplace else to live closer to kindred spirits. However, God moved me here twice, so he'll have to let me know when it's time to go elsewhere if it's in His plans. Have you ever noticed that there are some parts of the country where people are intelligent, creative AND polite? I've found a few pockets, but they're fast disappearing. Especially if one also wants lots of affordable land but reasonably close access into a city that's big enough to have Amenities. *Sigh*

Thank you for the warm welcome. Its true that i am not a newbie, but i had not even read any thing that was posted until earlier today. I have always just been here for the puzzles and was really bored today since i was the only one home. So, I decided to see what the bottom of the page had to offer, and decided to join.

Taking the time to say thank you for your message of love and support through the tough times with my mum, and her death. My heart has been lifted by the warmth and love shown to me here.

Boy, when I miss a few days, I really lose out! This is a belated but very sincere happy birthday wish--I'm sure you celebrated well, and I wish the very best in the coming year for you! And super great news about your niece's progress, after what's been an arduous time for her.
